This show was STRANGE...I love it. It seemed the longer along it went the stranger it got. It's absolutely surreal. Are there any other fans here?

One of my favorite episodes is The Ballad of Molly Turgis, the spirit of the woman that haunted Hooterville every time her name was mentioned.

The episode with Oliver's hippie nephew Chuck was pretty good too. :)

Green Acres had some great rustic country humor. Those two bungling carpenters, The Monroe Brothers, reminded me a little of the Three Stooges.

I really think some of those writers in the 60s were high. I haven't seen anything today close to the atmosphere that those shows had.

Totally. There were a helluva lot of pot references on the show, too, in the later years. I don't think that it was a coincidence. ;)

I love the episodes where Ralph, the lady carpenter, falls for Mr. Kimball, who of course wants nothing to do with her. There's an episode where Arnold the pig falls in love with Haney's dog, Cynthia, and through the use of subtitles we get to hear their conversation. They end up breaking up because Mr. Haney and Mr. Ziffel are feuding and don't want them together. It's crazy!

Not to mention Arnold the Pig and Drobney the Goose going into the bedroom, locking the door, and listening to Hungarian tunes on the Victrola. :)

"Green Acres is the place to be, farm living is the life for me. " I love Arnold! Another show that makes me smile.
