my friend has acid and him and another friend are tripping in a few days, i was planning on tripping, but recently i have been having second thoughts so ill probably play it safe and not trip, but i will still be with them for their trip,
having never tripped before myself, or been with someone throughout there entire trip, i was wondering what kind of precautions i should take, if any, for this,
it will be at a friendless parents house in a rural area if that helps with the setting,

if theres anything i can learn in advanced about how to deal with people tripping i would appreciate help, thanks

make sure not to guilt them or make them feel uncomfortable in any way, you should probably spend your time focusing on keeping a positive atmosphere without making it look too hard like you are.... like, subtly encourage them to venture out of the room and plant a doobie somewhere and dont tell them to look but try and (in a friendly way) manipulate them into discovering the magical doobie... or shit like that i dont know..

For the record I think tripping is a horrid waste of brain cells but if you're going to regardless...

Hide the knives, hide the car keys and take the razors out of the bathroom, tripping people don't always think, "hey maybe I shouldn't be shaving or driving or cutting sandwiches while I cant see straight" in the height of the trip instead they're thinking "this sandwich has the key to the universe if I can just make the perfect slice through the middle...oh, were my fingers NOt supposed to be in the way?"......

If things are getting too intense mellow the lights, lower or turn off the music and if they need it give them something simple to fixate on like a clock , bubbles or a lava lamp. If they aren't having a psychotic episode all you should have to do is say something horribly retardedly profound about the object like aren't bubbles little universes".....

of course if things get violently psychotic or take a turn for the worse all bets r off.

That was advice, not a story about someone cutting their finger off. The original poster asked for advise on preparation for the trip. Putting the knives away qualifies.

... although if it's a story you seek I have known people who while tripping have lost their drivers license, their vehicle, their bladder, their freedom for a night, their mind for quite a few years, and drank a bottle of bubble gum scented bubble bath among other things all while tripping....
like I said, a waste of brain cells.

trip with your friends or leave them alone!

your ignorance from lack of experience mixed with your curiosity is only going to get in the way of their good trip!

whatever you do - do not listen to the idiot telling you to hide the knives. acid makes you more conscious not less conscious like booze. i believe that booze kills brain cells =-)

Oh Mama :) I loved your initial post in this thread. So beautifully cynical.
