if humans were the size of ants would we be able to control the planet , what if we were the size of your thumb .

and how would we go about it would we need to kill off things much bigger than us or develop machines , do you think shrinking the human race if it was possible might bring out positive things in humanity are we too big

If ants had opposable thumbs they'd llegedly have owned us already!

    And cats. Especially cats.

I was thinking about ants if we were the same size would they win in a war they are stronger but we are smarter , if you had a slow shrinking of the human race I think we could prepare but if we were all shrunk really quickly things could be really tough .

you can make action man size fire arms would it be possible to make smaller ant size guns that could kill ants

What if it's the dolphins and mice who are controlling us already, we'd be playing out their game so our size wouldn't matter.

If we still maintained our manual dexterity and could still manipulate matter into complex tools then we'd still dominate, unless we evolved at the same time as ants, they might have wiped us out since our breeding is so much less efficient. I imagine there comes a point in terms of scale where you can't make complex enough things because of the size of molecules, the same might be true of our brains, since so much of its electrochemistry goes on at a tiny level, if you're dealing with a smaller structure and relatively larger molecules it may not be possible to have such complexity. We may be ok still at the size of ants though, not sure:confused:

I know the answer to this I think people could not be made smaller since the number of atomic particles needed to create a human determines the size of a human. the size of the molecules determins the smallest size you can go

lets just say it were possible then I would say that about 6 inches tall would do it, because then it would be possible to modify a car to be driven by someone that tall. But it would be cold for a while because when we shrink all our clothes would fall off

We are like ants. We are so irrelevant in space. From the moon, we are but a pointless blue ball. Even further away, we are a speck of dust. From the moon, you can cover the Earth with your thumb.

From a few thousand feet in the sky, we appear so tiny. We think we are big because but we are not. We are really tiny breakable beings. Like bacteria, we multiply.

Kinda true - but then, think how small atoms really are. Compared with, say, a cell (or even a protein molecule) an atom is very tiny indeed. it might not be possible to shrink actual humans, but to genetically engineer smaller humans (with the commensurate smaller cells) might take some doing. For the larger globular proteins (e.g haemoglobin, enzymes etc) their size might not be a limiting factor, but certainly their quantity would be. You'd have to tell the genome to produce much smaller quantities of these enzymes (possibly for the sake of efficiency some are not required - the enzyme equivalents of our appendix).
Plus, from our perspective (but not from their own) they would be a lot shorter-lived.

We are roaming ants. It is just a case of point of view. From the moon, you can cover the earth with your thumb. That is how small we are. We are 0.1% of matter in the universe. I reckon ants that are smaller than humans already control the planet by gnawing away at the structure of man's invention.

Size doesn't matter. What matters is, our point of view. I bet from an ants point of view, my pile of socks is like the size of the sahara desert or the Twin peaks of Scotland.

This is a human from the Mir Space station (See the dot below)

nowhere near - I bet we're not even 0.1% of matter in the solar system.

We couldn't shrink below the size of an old granny because then we wouldn't be able to see over the steering wheel.
