Have any of you ever seen the movie "May"? When a bunch of my friends were spending the night together a few months ago, we rented it to see what it was all about. It was bizarre but enjoyable. I would not consider "May" a horror film, as there are not any true scary parts, but the plot certainly is twisted.
I really liked it too and I love Angela Bettis. True not a horror flick to me it was more a make me think movie. Dolls always look creepy to me anyway and now they do even more.
i loved may. i agree, not really a horror film. initially, i found myself feeling sorry for may, but then it just gets a bit out of hand. great movie. her halloween dress was great.
Although I was highly disturbed, I did feel sympathy for her, as well. Dolls appear the same way to me, wiz, especially porcelain dolls. I don't know what it is about them, but they give me the creeps.
I cracked up at the very end when the eyeball rolled off of her newly created doll, and I was left with a mixed, strange feeling after the doll started touching her face. I usually don't go for movies containing even tiny amounts of horror or gore at all, but I somehow loved this movie.
I haven't seen this movie yet, but I have wanted to for quite a bit now. What exactly is it like? Does she just kill people and make dolls with their body parts? Or is there like a more in depth plot to the movie. Thanks for any answers.
Peace Child, you really should rent it! I promise you will enjoy it. There is much, much more to the movie than the main character killing the other characters off. The story is of a shy, awkward, lonely girl who could never manage to find a friend. She finally has a breaking point, which leads her to literally make a friend. The story is the main reason I enjoyed this movie so much. I am not a fan of horror movies, specifically those which are morbid, but the plot of this one captured me.
Thanks lunarflowermaiden. These type of movies always interest me and I was going to watch it anyways. Just wanted to see what it was about. But I love deep plots like this one. I checked it out on IMDB and it really seemed cool. Ill try to watch it by the end of this weekend.
