Michael Moore doesn't care about people, he cares about making money. Maybe if you had half a brain you would see this. The guy is nothing but a fat, arrogant slob, and that's how I feel. It's not necessarily Moore's work I don't like (except when he lies and insults the intelligence of his audiences), but rather the man himself and his attitude.

 

Oh well, what can you expect? People don't want facts, they want sensationalism, and they don't really care whether or not it's the truth. People like to see something that supports what they think, even if it is false.

I was thinking today how totally moronic the groups who are trying to create a ban against the movie are though. I mean, come on! What is a good way to get people to see a movie? Try to ban it of course!

How can you make such allegations w/o (obviously) knowing anything about someone? You're right about him not being a hippy, many people here do not consider themselves hippys.
I don't much like Michael Moore either. I look forward to his new movie, but in the past he has appeared very condesending and full of himself, which turns off many people including myself. I think he would be smart to act a bit more humble and clean up his image a little. If he just looked a little healthier...I suppose it's not nice to judge appearances, but he is a public figure. I don't know why so many people get so defensive of Moore and automatically consider anyone who doesn't worship him an "enemy"(for lack of a better word).

I watched it for the first time on Christmas Day 2004, long after he was already re-elected. And because of that, I say all of the conservative right-wing religious panzies can fuck off.

 

Long live democracy! As long as we can keep the attention focused on irrelevant subjects, such as each other, the rich and powerful are rubbing their hands together and letting us keep that hallucinogenic by-product that YOU all call freedom.

And, of course, as long as there's Moore-ons that follow false prophets, whose only example is to shun facts by throwing a tantrum that not even a 3 year old child would consider, then our fate has been handed to us on a silver platter.

Wait are you calling me a moron? I gotta say right now, that I think Michael Moore is a douchebag, but I don't support George Bush either. I think that the film is very interesting, but yes there are even falsehoods within the film, like when he gets stopped by secret service in front of the Saudi Arabian Embassy. That part was staged. But my main point was that conservatives have their ideas on how to live life all wrong, and I was just expressing my opinion as blatantly as possible.

 

Oops! Misunderstanding. Sorry Michael. I'm not very keen on either of them (Bush/Moore) either. Bush is a puppet figure representing a very cruel regime, but Moore is a conman standing on the sidelines and exploiting the public.

He edits his so-called documentaries to such an extent that would make even Joseph Stalin's toes curl.

this doc. was soo powerful, its just a shame that it's banned from military bases b/c they need to know the truth. i started crying towards the end b/c it just kills me to know that our men are LITERALLY being burned, ripped apart, and hung for no aparent reason.

 

I love Fahrenheit 9/11... Not only was it just hilarious, but it made so much sense. Damn The Bush Administration. I especially liked that Bonanza bit :lol:

 

I LOVED Fahrenheit 9/11...It was funny yet insightful!! LOL the bonanza bit was cool..i like the part where they keep showing bin laden's smiling face w/that screaming and the part where the taliban leader guy is in texas and a lady reporter was staying how the women were treated badly and the taliban guy is saying how he feels bad for the ladys husband...lol

 

LOL at someone referring to Fahrenheit 9/11 as the truth. This movie is just as far from the truth as anything else you're fed. Face it, the average person does not ever see the truth and in many instances, it's probably better that way. Also, when you join the military you surrender many of your rights. It is an all volunteer force and you insult the members of our military when you imply that they didn't know what they were signing up for. But you're still young so I guess it's not surprising that you were influenced so much by that lying piece of shit.
