For those of you who haven't been catching the Planet Earth series at 8/7c on the Discovery Channel, it's absolutely wonderful and I highly reccomend it. Even for those who condemn television, this is most definately worth checking out. I personally guarantee you won't regret it. beautiful...

I agree 100 percent, its the best tv show that has been on for years, stunning exspecially when seen in HD as it was shown on BBC. If you like Planet Earth you should definately check out Blue Planet aswell, its made by all the same people that made Planet Earth, its basically Planet earth under water, using special cameras and deep sea high pressure subs they go to the bottom of the pacific and atlantic in some of the episodes and the creatures they find are far weirder than anything you've ever imagined. Its also the most beautifully shot peice of television I've ever seen with a magnificent score to accompany it. Its out on dvd but they re-run it on various stations every now and again, heres a sampler from youtube.
