I'd suggest that you take a couple months sabbatical from drugs- including marijuana and alcohol; then see how you're feeling after that.

i would surgest you take more than a couple of weeks off, the reason your feeling so bad and paranoid is because of the drugs you are taking, i used to drink all the time take --e-- acid, coke , and eventually i felt like my life was empty ,and not worth living.
Only when i gave up taking that shit did i start to feel happy again, stop it all , and give it a month, and you should start to feel normal again, but you need to stop taking hard drugs, also stop the drinking , alcohol is one of the biggest depressants there is.
I am not saying give up drinking for good, but stop for now.

A number of different things prompted me to separately stop smoking pot and quit drinking. My initial plan was to take the aforementioned two-month sabbatical from weed to clear my head and allow my lungs to heal up. It has been four years and I have no immediate plans on smoking any time soon. My ability to process information and reign in emotions has returned (re-learned?)- I wasn't even aware that I had lost it.

Migraines keep me on the wagon... If I don't drink I don't get them.

Give your system a chance to heal itself.

I have similar problems, though not as severe. I rarely use drugs. I haven't had a joint in two months or so but I do drink, though again not as severe as you do. My only advice would be to just get out there, open up. I know it's hard but I do feel happier for doing it.

I don't know about the drugs but I imagine they complicate the situation.

It sounds to me like you just need to take a major chill pill and find some direction in your life, a goal, something productive to do or whatever. Nothing wrong with responsible drinking and pot, in my opinion, but I'm sure you'll agree that being drunk/high every day for six months is pushing it. Once you get over those first few days, it will be way easier than you think to take some time away from the psychoactives - I've been in the same boat, high every day for months, and I thought I couldn't quit, but after just a couple of days without it, it was no big deal. As for the other stuff, just focus on eliminating anxiety... don't worry about social stuff. What's the worst that could happen, someone thinks you're a geek? Who cares. Just be yourself and be nice to people and you won't have anything to worry about. Just try to relax and have fun for a while... sit around outside, start a good book... give yourself permission to relax and not worry about this shit. It's my humble opinion that some relaxation and a break from getting high will get you right back on track :) Hope you feel better

Well, there's your problem. You're a walking street hustler's pharmacy. Get off of that stuff! Permanantly sounds best, although I agree with the poster upthread that occasional and responsible indulgence in alcohol and weed doesn't hurt most people. But the key words are OCCASIONAL and RESPONSIBLE. Cigarettes are HORRIBLE for your health, you should ditch those ASAP, which can be hard as they're terribly addictive, but get some Zyban or Nicorette and give it a go. Another thing to think about is that you may have an underlying psychologial issue that's being made 1000% worse by all the drugs screwing with your brain chemistry. But you're going to have to be off this stuff for months and months, if not a year or so for things to start to normalize a bit. And in the meantime, maybe you should see a psychologist who might be able to help you out in the short term with some of your social phobias. I wish you all the best. Be strong and do what's best for you.

At your age (or any age) all those chemicals are only crippling you. They make the fog worse.

My cousin had a similar drug history and now he is in a "controlled" enviroment. He can't function on his own. His brain is fried and if he doesn't take his medication he becomes someone else. He started using around your age and today at 25 he's a mess.

I know it's fun while your partying but the after effects are what's going to break you down. I think it's a start you are recognizing your problem (s). I hope you find your way. :)

What the fuck is up, dude? You may think you are funny, but the truth is, you are not. Why would you leave such a post? It's offensive and you should be banned for writing it in this forum.

    Peace and love

You really just don't KNOW. People can take you seriously, and recommending suicide is just WRONG.

No he was not trying to be facetious in his first post.
Yes he was being facetious in post -no16.
There is nothing humorous or amusing in telling some one who is close to a mental breakdown, to commit suicide.

Meth, and E both burn out your brains natural happy chemicals (Dopamine, Serotonin, Norepinephrine). Don't hold your breath waiting for those to regenerate, because most often once those are burnt out they don't come back.

Taking a couple weeks off isn't even a start. Don't come on here playing stupid and pretending you don't know why your brain is fucked up, you know exactly why you can't put a thought together.

Get some inner strength and give up all that ridiculous shit your doing, otherwise the rest of your life is gonna be hell
