Dire Straits

Is it just me or does anyone else think Mark Knopfler doesn't get enough credit? He's a great guitarist!

I think my favorite song would have to be Lady Writer.

Money for nothing is a great song in my opinion, also can play it on the guitar xD

 

I am not a huge Dire Straits fan. I can take them or leave them, I suppose.

 

I was speaking mostly about their guitarist,
I think he's great,
however, overall
Dire Straits isn't my favorite,
it's their country-sounding music that turns me off,
so I do agree with you in a sense, Lunar

 

Mark Knopfler is incredible. He has amazing feel, unique style, and he's a great songwriter/singer/musician in general I would like to point out that although he probably doesn't get enough credit in a lot of circles, he is highly respected and I've seen many people sing his praises online and in magazines and stuff. Hippies probably need to listen to more Dire Straits though

I think my favorite Dire Straits song is Tunnel of Love... the solo at the end is just AMAZING.

I just got the BROTHERS IN ARMS record BBAD and it is AMAZING!!!!

I can hear MONEY FOR NOTHING in beautiful analogue again as well as the other songs on it.... THE WHOLE ALBUM KICKS ASS!!

Knopfler and Dire Straits never do get enough credit.
Some of their songs and guitar work are simply incredible.
