Is it any less rude to bark orders? Just a thought, but there are better ways of approaching a person that may receive a more pleasant response.
Okay this is just turning into a big flame war ... No, there is no "anti-Buddha," at least not in the "anti-Christ" dialectic duality sense.
Why are you asking other people for the truth? One of the main teachings is to find to path to the truth, enlightenment, and the end to suffering FOR YOURSELF, asking others for it defeats the purpose. You can't just be enlightened just by reading something, you have to think for yourself. Buddhism is a VERY complex religion. it's not simple like christianity where you just follow commands that are given to you. If you are asking for truth and enlightenment over an internet forum and can't find it for yourself, well then just stay away from buddhism.
This is a bonkers thread that is so full of wrongheaded philosophical posturing that it's amusing. Molly The Hippy, if you're serious about enlightenment, what you really need is a teacher, in whatever tradition works for you. Sounds like you have a very clear belief in God (whatever that constitues for you personally) and that won't get you far in Buddhism. BlackBillBlake has given excellent feedback. Right on the money. What confuses a lot of people in Buddhism is the concept of both relative and absolute existence, and that throws a lot of people for a curve. You can't approach this logically, because it isn't logical. (Yet more reasons why you need a teacher.) Attaining "enlightenment" in any form or tradition is a brain-busting business, and one you're not likely to be successful undertaking solo. Hint: it requires absolute humility.
Master Lin-chi said: "I don't have a particle of Dharma to give to anyone. All I have is cure for sickness, freedom from bondage. You followers of the Way from here and there, try coming to me without depending on anything." Or, "I tell you, there's no Buddha, no Dharma, no practice, no enlightenment. Yet you go off like this on side roads, trying to find something. Blind fools!"
So - whats with the Krishna Consciousness then? It would seem to take a view quite opposite to Lin Chi, who said " if you meet the Buddha, cut him down!" That would seem to be game set and match as regards religious devotionalism.
Would Lin Chi's Zen Buddhism seem identical to Prabhupada's "Krishna Consciousness"? Or would they be different. Hmmm?
So, what about it? You can't even spell right. First learn to spell, before you blurt out your "advice".
Ok I am new here but I had a few thoughts so let me post. Before hand All I say here is not went to offend. As I mean to be the voice of the enemy it might.By enemy I mean different. First what is a demon? Second what is a apparition? What is a Antichrist? Well Antichrist was a word that meant heretic since Jesus was truth then Anti truth was Antichrist, anyone who disagreed with the excepted church views of there Christ was a lier and a Antichrist. I think both Buddha and Christ would loved to have people question them and there views. As both were both labeled heretics in there time and infact be dispointed if there followers just followed blindly and were not questioning heretics/Antichrist.That they would want people to be Antichrists questioning everything and every one. Second it was used later to describe Nero. And still later it was thought that if Nero was as bad as Jesus was good then Nero would have super powers and return from the dead Like Jesus. It's were 666 comes from.(nero real name converted to a numeric value) It's only then that the church invents the idea of Antichrist.Good( US the church VS Evil (other ideas)! So my point Jesus had no Antichrist it's a myth.So how could Buddha? There is a way. All one would have to do is follow blindly with out questioning there path. And truly they would be enemys of those that seek truth. P.S. I disagree with Buddha and Jesus. I think apparitions if generated from within and I am part of all then there real as they teach by tempering and inspiring,(apparition Gods / demons) That if it teaches you and you learn from it. It is real manifestation of group mind and creation. My opinion but it's different from Duddha's . And place the physical world of nature before that of the spirit since the world is fragile and the spirit is not. Again different than Duhhda's . I believe all experience is to teach us and make us unique again different than Duhhda's . I believe that he and Jesus had it wrong that the after life is not important that the soul not important,That truth is found here in flesh so life is what is important not the soul. And I have no desire to stop living to become one with everything to reach Nirvana would for me be death and hell! Again different than Duhhda's view of truth. So you see as there are many Duhhdas there are as many AntiDuhhdas. As are opinion differ on what is perfect. For me being a AntiDuhhdas is perfect I am happy and content. That not evil that just life. I do not think Duhhda would have it any other way. It would be to dull!:cheers2:
What the heck does spelling have to do with truth and enlightenment? off topic dude.If this was a spelling forum you have a point but.
so much talking of and arguing about fingers here all the while the moon makes another turn around us
