Personally, I firmly beleive that LSD is the greatest chemical in mankinds synthetic arsenel. So great in fact...that if everyone would just try it...Many more people than not would find it enjoyable...and a large number of those people would find it life altering and BEAUTIFUL. Yet for some reason, LSD has become one the most underground substances on the street. In the 60's it was everywhere, so many people were turning on regularly, and almost everyone was at least trying it, or "experimenting" so to speak... I was just wondering what everyones thoughts on the matter are? Why did it go from being so popular to so taboo, some ignorent folks even put LSD in the category as the feind drugs (coke, crack, meth, H). WHat are your thoughts on a possible revival of the LSD glory days and how could this come about, short of dosing a local resevoir... actually that probably wouldnt help the cause very much...but ide be drinking alot less soda i can tell you that much :H
i thikn its because 2 major i mean major acid chemists or acid producters were caught in 2000 and if im not mistaken they were providing 90 percent of the us's lsd. All it takes is one good chemist because one lsd crystals is i dono how much but ALOT of hits but i dont think many people are doing it cause of the extensive work and actually gettin the ingredients to actually make it unless you happen to have a full equiped lab with all the ingredients and happen to have rye growing in your backyard that has been infected with ergot you can make lsd but not many people have that. i wish it would come back, it will come back thats when psychedelic rock will come back thats when peace will come back.
I don't think allot of people would agree with your point of view PsychMyke. Many of the early pioneers didn't agree with Leary's views of exposing the masses to LSD. When Aldous Huxley first tried LSD he suggested that it be kept secret and should only be used by the elite of society. They believed if the masses were introduced to the drug that they wouldn't be educated enough to understand the level of power it actually had. It wasn't until it was made illegal by the government that the scientist in the labs had to stop using it and the kids on the street started...but hey - where we would be today without acid :/
Keeping LSD limited to the elite of society is a ridiculous idea though. I would not subscirbe to the idea that LSD should be in our water or be mandatory, but I would say most people would stand to benefit from keeping an open mind to such things. I would not under estimate the common sense and intelligence most people have if you try to legitamtley express an idea to them. Alduous Huxley wasnt all right on himself I dont think... Most people are soooo conditioned to think such negative things regarding psychadelics that this is just totally out of this world to them. But you are not alone in believing certain substances like these are blessings and ways to learn divine information that wathcing the evening news every night will never, and can never teach. Psycahdelics have been used in religious and spiritual context through all of human history, it's only now where their seen as dangerous and crazy and outside the paradigm. When I was a kid, I remember classmates told me acid was rat poison in my DARE classes. That's literally what I learned, acid is rat poison. Drug miseducation is a crime against humanity and it denies people their right to explore themselves and learn about the spectrum of the most important life experiences there are.
i dont kn ow what you mean...obvously thats what Leary and Huxley beleived...but they were clearly wrong. I'm by no means an intellectual and I definatly understand and grasp the power of LSD...but what you just said doesnt really have anything to do with the point i was trying to make
