Does anyone know much about it?
(I used to take it, but not anylonger.)
Is it safe to snort, let's say, 150 mg of it?
According to Erowid, that's the common dose, but it doesn't tell much about it.

It's an antidepressant, no recreational benefits at all. In fact, in doses larger than directed (or taken in a manner different than directed, say snorted) it can mess with the electrical activity of your heart. And there is no antidote to an Overdose.

Please leave this drug for theraputic use.

    Blessings,

    Maggie

DO NOT snort Effexor, or abuse it in any way! Like maggie said, IT IS NOT RECREATIONAL! It takes weeks for the drug to kick in. Snorting it will have NO effect.

Takes weeks for it to kick in?
Then how come everytime I used to take it recreationally orally, it felt just like a regular depressant?
Many other people who have taken it feel this as well...
    ?

hmmm, sounds like a placebo effect. If you are taking a high single dose, it can throw your neurotransmitters out of whack, but I wouldn't call that being high.

It is not a recreational drug, and shouldn't be used as such. Theraputic drug levels take weeks of daily dosing to acheive. The depressant effect is just a side effect of a single high dose, which, as Maggie said, can mess up your heart and electical system, which is very dangerous and/or deadly.

    Oh, alrighty.
I know it's not a placebo effect, but there is something.
If this is potentionally dangerous, I'm stopping.
    :)

Your kidding right? Its an anti depressant. I was on it for years, and yes it can be dangerous to mess with the seratonin levels in your brain. why would you possibly take this for recreational use? it does nothing, and with almost all ssri' s and antidepressants , it take 2 weeks for any effect.
