Really interesting reading. Thanks Bilby! I have read the "Emotional Lives of Farm Animals" and am hoping to read "Dominion" very soon. I agree with the statement by Scully in the interview, that most people just don't want to know about factory farming and the horrific things that happen to animals every single day. And the billions, yes BILLIONS of animals that die every year. Yet these same folk want to to think of themselves as being kind and concerned, moral people ~but they still continue to consume meat, dairy and all sorts of animal products. Well, it just doesn't add up and they know it...they know that they are contributing to the suffering, so they'd rather not know, rather not think about it, rather not even talk about it. Just stick their heads farther up their you-know-what. And that is hands down, no doubt about it, HYPOCRISY!
