Im way too nervous a person these days ... my doc took an EEG and said in summary "im as high strung of a person as he's ever seen" ... that's what's bad ... my brain feels racing but my body doesn't so I just feel 'stoned' all the time ... and not in a good way either ... nervously stoned, unmotivated, depressed as a result!

which med should I pursue with the doc you think?

    can anyone relate?

Im not looking for a drug to abuse just help me ... I am a 'recovered' heroin head ... a drug I used for the calming effects because of what I said above ... opiates work no doubt for me but those days are over for me

the most important thing in my life is my hours spent daily on the guitar, so I refuse to take a drug that will cause reverse effects on my concentration, coordination, musical motivation , so forth

    whats up?

People who have ADD or ADHD isnt effected by adderal, dexetrin ect: they arnt hyped up, they feel more like a zombies
and Xanex has diffrent effects on diffrent people so i dont know
im not a doctor but ask your doctor about Strattera, (its a non-stimulant for ADHD, origanaly intended for an anti depressent)
Ritalin might do good for u

and note ure feeling of your mind going fast but ure body going slow is innitiative ADD (its nicknamed eeyore, u know that donkey off winne the poo)

Yahee is right ... eeyore is what I've felt like the past 6 months ... winter kills me man :leaving:

yeah, I knew that about Aderall that's whyI mentioned it ... I will say, I've taken Aderall once from my galfriend, just one of them as it would be prescribed, like 3 years ago ... I remember I felt extremely calm , extremely happy, and very clear minded ... I remember watching a movie and it being almost trippy to me ... in terms of clearness

opiates of course calm me, but yes they stone me ... I don't know, Im just tryin to get some feedback, I'll sample what doc gives me anyways

I'll explain this, Im not typical / clinical add, depressed, anxious ... I had some traumatic brain damage about 5 years ago, mostly left frontal lobe

then after that I eat a LOT of acid, a LOT of pot, a LOT of herion ... give it all up (at least for now) due to probation and here I am ... seein the ole doc these days

If your frontal lobe has damage I would not advise Adderall...as it would cause more activity in a damaged area. (not a doc)

i would like to know about these two drugs as well,i am in love with opiates and want to supplement my useage with with of these two when not on opiates,i love the talkative outgoing nature of opiates, yet my head is still clear and focused, which one of these will keep my personality outgoing(talkative)but yet my head clear,i dont smoke weed or anything else except for my use of painkillers at the moment,im really intrested in any types of prescriptions that can produce a somewhat euphoric state, and so far the best two out there seem to be adderall and xaxax...wish i could trade somebody a couple of my vikes for some xanax to see if i like them before asking for a prescription..

Then you want adderall. Xanax will have you confused as fuck. Adderall is perfect for concentration. That's what it's prescribed for, afterall.

No and yes, kind of . . . Well maybe, as long as you are not considering increased activity (rehabilitation) to be a bad thing. I can't really think of a way that regaining control of areas of your brain that have been damaged could be bad. Maybe I'm strange like that.

More to the point . . . Amphetamines have actualy been used in conjuction with physical therapy for treatment of stroke victems, with success I might add.

Based on your symptoms, i'd start off trying cymbalta and low dose xanax. The xanax will work immediately and you will feel calmer, less nervous. The cymbalta takes two weeks or so to kick in, and should help with depression, and posssibly bodily discomfort/lethargy.

If you can't focus then you could add in some adderall, or drop the xanax and see if things improve on just Cymbalta...if not then add the adderall, then if needed add back the xanax, with the option of discontinuing the Cymbalta at any time.
