Hi all, I have just joined and wanted to say hi! I am a single mum just about to set off onto a tour of the Uk by road, we have a caravan which we are adapting to an eco-van and are hoping to travel the UK this year and then in january we shall be off to Europe! Anyone know any pet freindly camp sites? If anyone is out there wants to make a new friend then drop me a line, I am quite lonely at the moment having recently split up from my husband, but the kids are keeping me happy, I have 6 of them in total! all but one are with me, eldest is at college, I am so proud!! I am 36yrs old, and into all things ecological, am not a vegi yet, but am into growing my own food, eating organic, and home education and have three wonderful cats which will be acompanying us on our journey. If any men or women out there want to chat then just let me know! I will be happy to make new friends. Bye....... Squirrel.
Hi Squirrel Welcome to the forums Im hoping to hit the road this summer in my camper vans, but its got to pass its MOT first = £££! About pet friendly camp-sites, I was up at Findhorn last year and had my dog with me then, they didnt seem to mind. That might be a bit too far away though. There is an eco village there though which you might be interested in. Ripple
Hi there thanks for the replies, I am looking forward to making some new friends! I bet you cant wait for your camper to pass can you ripple??? it is very exciting planning to travel, I am lucky really that my work can be mobile, so I can travel but still earn a living. We are hopeing to leave next week to start our journey around the Uk, Wales, and maybe Scotland too! Well its back to the grind stone.. thanks again! Squirrel
Hi all, thanks for all the 'hello's' it really does seem to be a friendly place! I have been busy working on the eco-van, I need to find some info regarding installing a wood burning stove in it, anyone got any ideas? Oh well, a day of work today and playing later on the van, i have a minor repair patch to complete tonight, and i need to get a new number plate for the back. At least the conversion of the van is making for some interesting home education lessons!!! anyway thanks again everyoe, it is very nice to be here!!!
Hello Squirrel, I've tried to do some wood burning stove in camper van research for you. I didn't do very well but thought this might be appropriate..... http://travel.guardian.co.uk/article/2006/sep/02/camping.shortbreaks.unitedkingdom ...welcome to the uk forums
