I got arrested in the beginning for Febuary at school for possession of cocaine. It was the school police and so they brought me to their office at the school. He said he would put me in the deversion (sp?) program which is when I go infront of like 5 random people of the community and tell them why I did what I did. I went into an out patient program for 2 months and am going to continue to go to NA and CA meetings until my hearing. The cop said I'd get a paper in 2 weeks (which I knew was bullshit) but how long does it normally take to get those papers? I've never been arrested or gotten a ticket before and it was the first time I was even suspended. Can someone tell me what's going to happen?
First off- you will be alright calm down, I to was arrested for coke the first time I ever got arrested. I was 16 and I did the same things you did, I went to a out patient program, went to NA/AA meetings etc, I don't know what will happen at your scholl and what they will do, But the judge should go lightly on you, Your layer will tell him all the bull shit like my client has changed his life he is working on his problum buy going to a Rehab program, NA/AA meetings etc, you will probably end up with a ACD, That means you have to stay out of trouble for 6 mothns to 1 year, If you do the charges will de droped and will not be on your record. you might get a little community service also. like 15 to 25 hours. The worst that will happen is 1 to 3 years on probation. And probation sucks ass.But I don't think you will get probation for your girst arrest ? Buy the way how much coke did you get caught with. That has alot to do with the charges and how much legal troble you will get. make sure you get a good layer also. GOOD luck man don't sweat it to bad,The number 1 thing I will tell you though is don't get in any more trouble before court or during your ACD. Lay low for a little while and don't put your self in any stupid situations where you could get caught. Be careful !!!!
thanks i only caught caught with like a gram and part of it was already cut into a line but when your on ACD do you have to check in with them and get drug tested and stuff? or is it that you just have to stay outta trouble? thanks for your help
know the only time you have to report to them is when you are on probation and parole. A ACd means you have to stay out of trouble for 6 months to 1 year it all depends what the ACD says, But if you get in trouble they will bring the charges back up. Just be careful and lay low. example don't go into a car if you know there is drugs in there. Don't walk through town with shit in your pocket. Just be smart while you are on your ACD. just play the good guy game and you will be alright, I wish you the best man !!!!
