havent tried it yet but I want to know why I should even try something before putting it into my body
the fact is different drugs work on different people. my sister in law was on everything under the sun for depression. ultimately she SWEARS by the combination of wellbutrin xl and cymbalta. they can work to remove your symptoms like headache, loss of in terest, stress, sleep problems, worrying, feelingoverwhelmed, anxiety... but if they dont, there are plenty of other drugs like these.. depends on what drugs you take now as far was how these may interact (less effective etc...).. dont live with depression, and if you have it and it's bothering you then i think it's wrong to say i want to know whats going in my body (PHYSICAL) while i'll forget it and let my mind (MENTAL) suffer. you need to get yourself in the best physical and mental state when you know one is state is suffering...
yeah, I'm working on it... I don't like the idea of using drugs to impact behavior. the idea of experimenting with altered mind states is what interests me.
well, they don't get you high, but you just notice yourself feeling happier, like you want to fell and believe you should feel. like thankful for the good things you have in life, and allow you to not 'cry over spilt milk' and 'deal/confront' your issues. also, you my not be afraid to show your feelings either.. i think this are good and positive things.. these silent working drugs.. and they may take a few weeks to work. they'll restore your individual bodies amount of serotonin and norepinephrine. you'll be capable and more confident to confront any other real life issues causing the depression, like a stressful job that's sucking the life out of you, difficult financial positions, distressed family/significant other relationships. should make you more compassionate and collaborative... good luck, post up some followup in the coming weeks...
nah, I just found my mom's bottle of them, and was wondering if it would be worth it to sneak a few. but thanks for the suggestion. I'm seeing a therapist and it seems to help. but I mostly sleep off my problems.
well i hope they're helping your mom out.. and if you snuck a few it may not have the effect as they can take weeks.. not like drugs that get you high and you 'know' they're workin'.. cheers..see 'ya round the rooms
I took them because my doc prescribed them to me for IBS. I hated them because they made me so tired and I could not function at work. I had amnesia for a week and forgot where I put things or do thingd that needed to get done. They also gave me the munchies pretty bad. Basically, I was too tired to worry about anything. It kept me up at night when I wanted to sleep and made me tired all day. And, I grinded my teeth so bad that I had to get a root canal.. The whole thing was a bummer.
maybe i'm ignorant, if your asking if they get you high - i'd say no, not at all... i tried them for anxiety didn't work for me. i'm sure it works on some people..
For most people SSRIs don't do anything (that is macroscopically observable) other than delay ejaculation.
Lexapro dont do SHIT to me, i tell my doctor and hes all "Well lets up the dose and see how that works." I feel like kicking him in the nuts when he sais that and walk away
i just got prescribed it today, i was always on prozac but didnt do much so he gave me this... i vote medical marijuana and vicodin ha
Oh regarding what I said earlier about SSRIS and delaying orgasm, Prozac doesn't do that--at least not to the degree that Lexapro does.
