I think banning for a set period is usual practice, after which the banned person is allowed back "on probation". If Fedup was allowed back, but Campbell's ban is permanent, then an arbitrary and unjust system does indeed exist. IMO, Campbell's only "offense" here was that he's strongly opinionated.
