Anyone know how I can keep millions of big black slugs from attacking my outdoor grow without committing slugaside? I dont want to hurt the little things but I dont want them to attack my grow again this year! Also anyone know a good non-toxic spray to avoid mould or fungus in the wet misty late summer season? Thanks, Stonehedge.
if you go out to check on your grow at night.....you can use a small light, green in spectrum if possible, and pick them off your plants.....but this obviously doesn't take care of the problem. A thin layer or dolomite lime, diatomaceous earth, or salty beach sand two to six inches wide around individual plants or the entire garden will present make it pretty much impossible for them to get past. The layer of dolomite lime will not affect the pH as long as you don't poor it on thick....just a thin layer is all it takes. Bordeaux mixture should keep most molds, and fugus' in check.

Do like I do with slugs and gophers--just chuck'em over into the neighbors yard.Everything has to be somewhere.Just not in my yard.
Code: Thanks for the advice folks. Where I live there are many thousands of big black slugs and you would be up all night dealing with them. M4N14C42O, I'll check on that stuff, thanks.
put out a cup of beer near your grow the slugs will crawl into the cup and i have to assume if you go out a few times a night to empty them out most should live
