Earth Day

What did you do for earth day? I know it was like couple of days ago but i figure i ask. I planted a sun flower seed which i got for free from a gas station. They handed out packs of sunflower seeds, hopefully it grows. Ironic

 

I made sure I stayed out of my auto and just walked whereever I needed to go. I didn't buy anything either.
Stayed on the farm and drank a few homebrew beers and picked a tune or two....Also planted some vegetable seeds and worked on the compost pile.

hung out with my buds. watched the cards beat the cubs' asses. it was great. sorry i didn't do anything very earthly.

 

I actually bought some sunflower and carrot seeds. I haven't planted them yet, but maybe in a few weeks or so.

 

Lay on my back on the earth and watched the trees swing in the wind, clouds float and birds fly.

 

i bought some morning glory seeds the other day and im going to plant them this weekend, as soon as all this rain passes. i was scared that it was raining way too much and it'll flood the plants with too much water.i didnt get to plant them on earth day though, which was a bummer.

 

I was doing homework. I had a shit load of papers due monday and it made me sad. However they are doing something on campus on saturday that is a belated earthday thing and i think i am going to check it out. it will be fun ^_^

 

Box Of Rain, I know, rain makes trouble sometimes, but it´s also nature.


And what about 'my' Earth day ? Me and my friends organized an info stands in cooperation with some enviromental organizations in which we are work as activists for years. It were stands about rights of animals and local ecological problems.

 

Talk to a Lama. Visit Barcelona city (I live a little far away...). Listen to some great songs.

 

We planted an oak tree, and some honeysuckle (my daughter's favorite). Also, we discussed things we needed to start doing (or doing better) to conserve more energy.

 

I sat outside all day.
I guess I could've/should've done something a bit better, but I just enjoyed myself outside that day.

 

Went out to the zoo with my earth club and planted all sorts of trees, flowers, bushes and that by the entrance. It was hard work, but it looked beautiful when we were done! =]

 

Miss Beatle, it sounds great ! Also BeaTx´s oak tree. I live in the Oak street and there´s not any oak

 

My sunflower finally sprouted. Hopefully i can keep it alive.

Oh, great.I love sunflower.We had a big garden with fruits and vegetables and there you could find sunflowers around it, but my mum didn't like them.
