do you guys think its a bad thing that i wear make-up, nothing over the top, but i do wear it and i sometimes wear name brands. some people say that wrong of me because cosmetics are one of the reasons the environment is ruined and companies test their make-up on animals. but i use make-up that claims not to be tested on animals, and i only wear a couple of things. and that name brands are just another characteristic of media produced stereotypes' but i wear it just because i like it not because the 'popular' girl in school does or whatever ridiculous reasons other people wear name brands for so im a bit confused.. thoughts???
Well...its all up to you, really. Me, well...I only become "Claudia of Rome" when economical situation is on the low side. You know how that is.
i wear make-up myself..more so now than ever before even...i'm a little ashamed of it, i feel so vain...it really is a personal choice though no matter what anyone says, the fact that you're questioning it, and standing up saying that you don't wear products that test on animals, that says alot make-up sometimes is used to hide insecurities within ourselves, but alot of the time its just fun make-up allows us to experiment and change on a daily basis without drastic means make your own choice in regards to it and don't let other people telling you it's wrong get you down
No. It dosn't matter. I myself don't where makeup because I just don't really care (unless I have a bad zit), but why would it make a differents. Just because you were makeup dosn't make you vain. As for name brands, clothes are clothes. I were billabong, o'neal and other namebrands. If anyone says something just say "What there good clothes". I hate how people see someone in a namebrand this or that and think that they must be a name brand kinda person. Clothes are clothes!
I totally agree >.< The same people who seem to think that the clothes you wear dont matter at all, get upset if they see someone wearing namebrand stuff.
Makeup has become an unfortunate "requirement" of modern life. Like many things, it's something you're forced to do if you don't want to become a social pariah in most circles and most significantly at the ubiquitous work situation. Worn for pleasure I don't have as much a problem with it but still it's just one more item that is not really needed for human existence that you can't make yourself and you have to pay for so you have to be a wage slave to make that money which keeps you stuck in the rat race and takes time away from who you really are and what you would do with yourself if you were a free person. Personally I think make up often looks somewhat ghoulish, especially all that eye liner that everybody wears. Nothing like a fresh young lass with a clean face and a hippie smile. Rrrrrrrr...
you should wear make up if you feel like wearing it. its your own personal choice and i really dont see how that can be a bad thing. i wear makeup too, not all the time, but sometimes i really feel like putting something on my eyes and thats all. and sometimes i just feel awesome when im not wearing it. and you really shouldnt care what other people say about it, just do whatever you feel like doing.
if thats what you like then wear it. Dont wear it just because someone else tells you that you need to. I personally think women are alot more beautiful without it because if we needed makeup then we would've been born with it. thats my philosophy
Wear it because you want to sister. If it makes you feel good I say do it. I choose not to wear make-up because it makes me feel most comfortable. My sister cakes on her make-up "emo" i guess is what she calls it. and that is her choice. i am not offended and don't care. not me. go do what you want to do. wear it. don't wear it. i be you look beautiful no matter what. peace & love sister. ^_^
Tell her some of these jokes and tell me what see says.:H http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192548
:agree: :gorgeous: Natural looks healthier and nicer. I agree with you and like the way you put it too.! There are so many things we buy that we don't really need, and if we didn't have to work long hours for these superfluous, unnecessary items (they add up=more work hours), we could have more time for leisure, and creativity. When you lead a simple life (no make up and other add-ons), you are a much freer person, and can spend more of your life pursuing what you really want to. Crazylegs, Are you scottish, haven't heard "lass" in a while, since my grandmother called me that. Makes the no make up girl sound very appealing, fresh and clean and a natural hippie smile.
I assume you are saying that some people are concerned about which name brand make-up they wear, and their is snobbery involved, in your choices of make up? Am I wearing the right make up to be popular, etc ? Do people actually talk about what brand make up they choose to buy, and then judge you about your choice. Well I would choose most natural if I wore make up, but if it is just a designer advertisement hype, I am shocked. Is more expensive the better one? Shows you have more money, more impressive, or is it your good sense in buying the best and most natural product and wins you applauds. Sounds bizarre to me.
It shouldn't really matter to anyone but yourself. If you like it, then do it. If you don't, then don't. Don't worry about it. Do what you want.
First, let me say I do not intend for this post to sound preachy, although I am almost positive it will. Personally, I never understood the point of wearing makeup. What exactly is it for? To make oneself look better? Do cover up blemishes? In both of these cases, it fails. Everyone is gorgeous without piling gunk on their faces, and makeup leads to more acne and unhealthy, suffocated skin. I am not even talking about brands, either. I am discussing makeup in general. Feeling as though I am hiding a part of myself makes me feel icky, so I simply stay away from it all. That is my own opinion, though, and everyone feels differently about makeup. If you enjoy wearing it, you should not change your mind because of what anyone else thinks or says, including myself. I just thought I'd add some insight to the topic.
