I want to sniff a skunk.

I dont know if anyone else has, But i've never smelled a 'skunk' and I want to know what all the hypes about. Is it really so bad or is it just hype? I mean come on, we've all smelled shit and its bad, can it actually be so bad that if you had to choose, you'd rather be smelling shit?

I'm actually wanting to smell one jus purely for the curiosity. Also, did you know a human can smell skunk odour from over a mile off. How strong must it be a few meters away in the same room, or even a few feet.

I really want to know.

The other day when I woke up the windows were all open...skunks hang around here cause the cat food people give outside and it seriously smelled like a skunk was RIGHT in the house. It's pretty foul but it's really not as bad as some people make it seem to be.

 

Yeah thats wot im thinking. Still curious tho to see what one smells like.

 

I'd be wearing protective clothing tho, obviously.

 

You know... skunk never smelled too bad to me... I once had a skunk enter my tent while I was camping, and mothafucka went maaaad.... sprayed the entire tent... it smelled strong, but it didn't smell too bad... I could still sleep in it after airing it out.

I was just telling fitz. they don't smell that bad really. I mean they stink but it's just skunk.

I feel bad for them cause everyone hates them.

it doesn't smell all that bad, if it's not on you, and you only get a little smell of it.

our dog got sprayed when i was about 17. that damn dog whined for a week because it wouldn't let us give it a bath, so it had to stay outside. i was sick to the point of wanting to throw-up, because that was all i could smell. finally my mom somehow washed the dog with tomato juice ... the dog still smelled bad.. but it was bearable.

i'd suggest not getting sprayed..

 

Like marijuana a skunk has it's own unique odor

It is possible to denature a skunk but it involves surgery

I assume skunks aren't everywhere.

 

I've known several people who've had them as pets.They got them very young and had the scent gland removed.Made loving little companions.Kind of a shock the first time you see someone carrying a live ,grown skunk tho.

 

Let me guess they either called their skunk Stinky or Pepé Le Pew
