I'm probably being anal...but..i need a vent...

I paid my rent this month, then was approached by 3 friends who needed a place to stay. So i talked to my roommate and allowed them to move in with us. I came home today to find them taking resin hits out of my pipes, scraping the ones they couldn't get anything out of, and scraping my grinder. I am flat broke and will not be able to buy weed for a good long time and got really really irked that they were smoking the little "stuff" i had left without asking me. Now I'm completely dry. They swear they will be buying more in the next few days and will smoke me up but thats besides the point. I feel they should have asked. True i keep all my pipes displayed on shelves in the kitchen and they keep theirs in the same place, and i did tell them they could use them whenever they wanted...but in my mind that doesn't mean help yourself to whatever you want of mine.

I think its just like the last straw type thing. One of them was bumming ciggarettes off me yesterday and he still had 3 or 4 of his own, just didn't wanna smoke the last of his. So instead he bums from me, when he knew i searched all my pants pockets and my car floor to find enough change to buy a pack (he has a solid steady job with a good income).

I also got into it over my computer the other day. I leave a laptop in the living room and have no problem with anybody using it. However, last night i waited around for 3 hours for my "turn" and then when they went out for a smoke i snagged it to check my email and one of my roomies had the audacity to yell at me and tell me if i wanted to get online i could use the desktop in my bedroom.

Yesterday my boyfriend (who is sort of living here too...not officially but he hasnt left in a week) had some weed on him, and one of my roommates felt it appropriate to every 10 minutes ask him to pack up a bowl. After a while i finally looked athim and just went, "dude, chill, its his weed, if he wants to pack a bowl he will".

I specifically asked them NOT to take resin hits out of my thinner pipes b/c in the past i have ruined pipes doing that (they over heat and the glass bubbles) and i just looked over and they had my smallest thinnest, most favoritest pipe in their hands taking resin hits out of it (and not scraping it and smoking a resin ball, just taking dry resin hits).

I should put my pipes in my room BUT my ferrets have run of my room and are little pot heads themselves andlike to hide the pipes so they can lick the resin out of them (yeah its gross...).

Would it be completely stupid if i jokingly wrote up "pot smokers rules" and posted them in my house? Just like a joking general guide line with a serious undertone.

They are living here rent free after all...they should follow my rules...and believe mei dont have many...fuck i even let one of them keep his gun under my living room chair (though that guy has yet to truly piss me off...hes still cool).

-deep breath- Ok i feel a little better....just ranting and venting has made me feel better.

Actually DJ, i read through it and agree with you. Your "friends" are SCUMBAGGING FREELOADERS who use you for your shit. Kick thier ass out and make them earn a living for themselves, trust me it wont seem like the nicest thing but its the best for them in the long run. Your boyfriend buys weed and doesnt have a place to sleep at night besides his gilfriends room? You have to look all over your house for spare change for a..PACK OF CIGGARETTES?

Seems to me everyone in your story is living life just to get by and feed their addictions of weed and nicotine, and only trying to satisfy themselves. Hey, kinda seems like my parents.

Man thats fucked up. How the HELL do you let someone keep a gun in your house? My god, that would definitley be the dealbreaker for me, even if nothing else bad had happened!

i kinda understand that kinda shit. ive had a friend like that (not the gun, fuck that) but ive had him over and i caught him stealing some of my weed in the night. he snuck in my room and delved in my stash, i woke up because my drawer is tricky (only i can do it noislessly) and it made a racket. i was like "wtf are you doing?" he pauses, (you can see the wheels turning in his head) "ummmmmm, im gonna roll a jay for tomorrows wake and bake" yea right, in the middle of the night. bullshit. to say the least i made it known that it pissed me off. even more than that i went to work and when i got back, he had smoked like a 1/4 of my o to his face! thats kinda bullshit imo. kick those assholes out!

You must be a saint, because I'm pretty sure most of us would have kicked those sorry losers to the curb by now! BUT, there is a difference between being hospitable and generous, and letting people exploit and walk all over you. These people aren't gratefully taking your handouts, they're greedily taking all they can get then being rude when they want more more more.

It's time to kick these people out and move on with your life. You're being a responsible adult, and it's time these people learn to stand on their own two feet and do the same thing. You're not helping them, you're just prolonging their pathetic adolescense.

Let me guess, they are "kids" who travel and you feel as if you are being kind by helping them out? You can only help someone who is trying themselves. Don't be fooled by their persona. It is not kind to impose on someone who is being gracious enough to provide a roof. Get them out. If they cared about you, they would show respect. You are enabling them to exist negitivly.
