Some of you might be a bit concerned about my passion of skunks (lol) which I assure you isn't the case. For the rest, I posted a new threat not long back about wanting to smell a skunk because of curiosity. Random i know, but there u go. (http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233117) Now, a lot of people were suprised that I have never smelled a skunk before, and this suprises me. Excuse my ignorance (please!) but i am quite suprised at the people who actually have smelled skunk. I live in the UK In newcastle, london and leeds (never seen a skunk anywhere there. ever)
ive never seen a skunk or smelled in london or oxforrd. i think badgers and swans are yer wild animals. i always wake up tasting like a badger shat in my mouth in england.skunk doesnt smell like skunky ganja.
Yeah I have....road kill. It doesnt smell THAT bad...I think Im used to it? I was outside school once and someone was smoking a joint and I thought it was a skunk. I felt stupid not knowing it was pot, esp. because Ive smoked it.
Who hasn't smelled a skunk? People are running them over all the time here. It permeates the air for miles.
i have. freguently when my dad and i used to take road trips almost every weekend when he first got a car the year i graduated highscool. we both liked to wander arround out in the boonies and discouver all sorts of places we weren't able to before. also i grew up in the woods so this was not uncommon there either. actualy the smell isn't that bad from far enough away and the wind blowing in the right (OTHER) direction. i've never gotten it on me, but then i'm not in the habbit of being inconsiderately ignorant of the customs of other creatures. skunks are just one more victum of the inanity of worshipping the automobile, in turn an extention of demonizing everything that doesn't kiss the ass of little green pieces of paper. skunks are indeed cool little creatures, and they don't just go arround aggressively squirting everything either. you can tell they feel threatened when the start doing handstands. that's how they aim their stink squirters. so just get and stay out of range, preferably behind something, something disposable or that you don't have to take with you if you see them starting to do so. better yet, remove yourself from their sight and mind before they get a chance to get into firing position. they can actualy be socialized to where they won't want to, and of course, those which have been surgicly robbed of their defence mechanism have been sold in pet stores. the stench weapon is actualy to varying degrees possessed by nearly all mustilidea. skunks are merely the most familliar of the most powerfully equiped. the're really cool little critters, but like all wild things, it is best to leave them be. it is also a good idea to avoid running over them, especialy if your car is going to need working on any time soon. =^^= .../\...
When I lived in ye olde college ghetto in the Allston / Brighton / Brookline neighborhood in Boston, the smell of skunk was impossible to avoid when walking home anywhere in between mid april til about november. Skunks are omnipresent in that neighborhood. Consequently, I kinda like the smell of skunk because it reminds me of my years living there.
Skunks are everywhere here.. Fact of life.. I've smelled plenty of skunk spray and it fuckin stinks.. it's beyond stink.. It's stank.. Third degree stank waves.
judging from your posts id say your obesessed with this skunk sniffing fetish of yours, so why dont you just get on with it? I suggest running barenaked into the forest, screaming like a banshee covered in berry jam and see if you spot any skunks then take a steve irwin nose dive towards and jam your face right up its ass... good luck
crikey, I've got my nose jammed right up this skunk's bum, boy is he angry, he doesnt like this one bit
I hate skunks! There are plenty of them round here and the dogs get after them and they get sprayed.. Jeeze that smell gets up ur nose and it burns so bad!! even to think bout it makes me physically ill!!!
many people have never smelled a skunk, so I don't know why anyone's surprised that you've never smelled one. :birds: I, on the other hand, was a passenger in a car that hit a skunk. Now that's not only rancid, but that's a stink that follows you for a while....
