ok, so im a hippy (i like to spell it with y:H beeotch) and i dig bands. and movies, and books. but i dont have the funds in wich to get kick ass tee shirts, stickers, patches, and buttons that i have been longing for over the past... forever what do i do
Well, you could transcend your need for such material items. If that doesn't work... Make your own music. Go to used bookstores and trade books. Libraries usually have clearance sales you can get stuff super cheap. Download movies off the internet or buy pirate copies from China. You can also make your own Tshirts pretty easy. My friend did it all through high school. If this seems like too much trouble, and you just wanna have lots of cash flow, then think about becoming a criminal. Hope that helped!
I was just going to say the same thing... make your own stuff. I'm a young mom of two kids and I'm completely broke. Heres what I'm doing probably tonight for their next clothing sizes for the winter... Ok...at the craft store I bought a tye dye pack... it costed 15 dollars and some change. It makes 15 adult size shirts so for two little kids wearing a size two that would make a lot more than 15... Next you buy packs of 100% cotton t-shirts (mine where 3.00 for 3 shirts, I have no idea how much the bigger ones are). Now see? you can make tye dyes for cheap... Ok, do you know how to sew? Does anyone like your mom, sister, grandmom or a friend? Have them teach you or have them help you. All you have to do is take reg jeans and put a panel of patches up the sides or make them completely from scratch from patches. Be a dork about it...get your parents intrested in helping you tye dye and sew...they will help you get things done faster and you'll probably get along better which is always nice. If your intrested I can tell you more about how to put patchwork panels in. Good luck. Oh yea I want to add... the fabric you can usually get for cheap. You dont need that much since your doing patches. You can get just 1/2 a yard for cheap or remnants. Just pm me for help or questions or more ideas if you'd like.
