Look up reviews to it (it's called "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star"), and you'll find plenty of positive ones, including ones by people who now say they have more respect for the women in the porn industry. Jenna Jameson, at least, presents herself as a strong, capable woman, not a sad little hussy who lies there and takes it in every filthy way possible. I've heard nothing but admiration for her.
Loveminx - they have to swear off porn? I won't judge, of course, because everyone has their different ways, but...well, let's just say that I haven't found it to be that guys who watch porn are disrespectful. The most offensive, piggish guy I know gave up porn for his girlfriend, and mine, who is much more sensitive, told me point blank that he wouldn't give up porn unless I really, really wanted him to.

Only if you're doing it because a) You are being forced into it, or b) You do it because you hate yourself and have low self-esteem. And yeah, plenty of girls in porn have either of these characteristics, but it's ignorant to assume every one of them does. I was in porn, and I hope to continue after I get back from backpacking in a few months. I have really high self-esteem, am very confident, secure, intelligent (I *am* going to college, by the way, and have graduated high school if you're wondering), and emotionally- and psychologically-stable. I have no problem with intimacy or relationships, and I have no problem with having sex on camera for money. It's fun! I love it! And lots of the other people I've met in the industry have been some of the sweetest, coolest people I've met.

So yes, again, lots of girls are not in this industry by choice, and lots are in it for the wrong reasons. But not all are. So next time you're going to generalize, consider the other options

The differences between pornstars and prostitutes are huge.

Many pornstars ARE respected by people. But a huge % of those people are men who use her videos to jack off over. They are respected beause they are FILMED having sex. Prostitutes arent. Also, pornstars dont get paid a few $ by the desperate man who is fucking them, and when they do get paid they get a load more money than prostitutes. The differences are endless. Jenna is only respected because she is just the classic blonde, "beautiful" woman that all of her fans would go for. They dont respect her as a person, her personality. They respect what she does, not who she is.
