My favorite word is eponymous. I like the way it sounds. I like the meaning. And I like the album by R.E.M.
My favourite word is "Souvenir" as it is written on every french grave, ha ha ha at first, when I first started going to france I thought they were freebie holiday souvenirs and so I have about 3000 of them in my back garden, imagine my surprise when someone told me they were gravestones !! I couldnt believe it, anyway they grassed me up to the french authorities and am no longer allowed in the country. However I will always have that word to remind me
Oh, I might as well join in. My favourite word is "Guest". Especially ones that suddenly appear out of nowhere for no reason, seem to be the same gender, roughly the same age and, (due to some comment made earlier on) I particularly like guests that appear to have suddenly arrived here from all different parts of the world, which is strange that they all just happened to somehow descend on the only forum in Hipforums where you can literally see the tumbleweed scroll across the screen just to announce what their favourite word is. You've got to hand it to the Yanks, they know how to disguise their motives really well from the rest of the world. That's my favourite sentence BTW.
Looks like you lifted your latest pic from 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', the scene where they're waiting for playtime in the electroshock room. 'Box' is a good one. As in, "I dated a vampire last night. She wasn't much to look at, but she had a nice box." "Procrastinate". Not sure what that means. I've been meaning to look it up in the dictionary, but I keep putting it off.

No worries, S. I "do" take the mickey sometimes, for sure, but even though we get critical in here, we try not to offend. Not too much, anyway A word on its own, however, fav(sic) or not, doesn't serve much purpose. It's like me giving you an onion, and asking you to prepare a meal with it. It's how you use words together, and the chemistry you combine them with that determines how skillful a writer you are. We tend to write a lot of threads, similar to this one in here, that are meant just to unwind from toiling on the keyboard all day long, writing reports, essays, treaties, novels, scripts, etc. I would like to see all new visitors to the writers forum take the plunge, and try writing a short story, play, script etc. Even if it isn't good, perseverence and love for the writing craft will emerge the more you practise it. As this is still a chauvinist world dominated by men, I would especially like to encourage women to participate in writing, as this is a medium that can truly express your vision directly from the way that you feel about, well, almost everything.

I have so many favorite words... I love words. It's fun to dissect them and figure out their roots and whatnot. Anyway, I guess..uh.."vertigo" is one of my favorite words. It's pretty neat.
The yanks will like this one my favourite word is Horseshit, oh and thats equal to bullshit but there is an even better one I love the word BOLLOCKS ! especially when like king henry said "Bollocks to Bognor"
