So wonderful meeting you...I"m just now reading this post, as I get on here in "bursts and snaps" these days, but it sounds like you have had an interesting life! Hope to talk to you more soon!
You sound like such a wise person, It's nice to know there are some genuine people who have seen so much of that genuine stuff. I would have loved to experience woodstock and haight ashbury, and everything like that. But in some way all of us are connected through our passion for the sixties, the lifestyle, and rock and roll.
sus> t/y. I hope we get to talk again soon, as u burst in n out.. I brust a lot too.. having so many things to do at once and yet doing nothing important at all. I mean nothing mind bending or earth shattering except for pullin' cancers from people and lovin' my grandbabies, my life could be called hum-drum. I suppose that's because life is so slowwww here in the south and way out on this farm, there's no hurry.. terminal> thanks but wise ass is more like it .. I think as we grow older our zest for life turns a corner and we see things with a broader outlook, like "it could happen" like they say, cuz it did and we took it as far as we could take it, then we settled down as we matured and needed roots and something real to hold onto, but the last ones that came along to pick up the fire stick and run with it, we handed it over to them and they took it to hell. Now we have the third generation of hippies comming out that are hipper and more educated about things of the hippie nature, the road had already been paved for them and they r not as unacceptable as we were or as hated or as loved. I left the Haight for a while and returned to find the Love had fled the Haight and a black hole developed around what use to be the brightest most carring, highest ,hippist and most faithful spot on the planet. Now dis-eased with HIV AIDS Hep and GODDESS only knows what. You couldnt walk on the streets at night or in the park unless u were a drug dealer or pimp or prostitute, or like to get beatup n robbed. There were those of us who tried to hang on and some that did. I chose the country life, it suits me better. Your right about a bonding of the masses type thing, I think we all have a bit of hippie in us and some are just to shy to live it and sometimes hate it because they cant live it. I bet that if every one had a choice as to how thay live with out money dictating the situation every one would be on the farm raising their own, even GWB jr. I don't think my generation will help matters now, I think the change will come with these youngsters like we have in here. They will out live the old dogs and change the laws and we will vote for them. I have it all worked out ya know (wink wink). If a woman was in charge things would be different. No wars only time outs or no desserts. No organized religion too. Love Peace and Hippie Beads <shameless>
