Past the woman with the stupid grin
    and the twisted nose
The drunk thinks she can charm you in
    and you'll give her loads

    She's lost on the road
At the end of her life
    she is disowned
    in the lost not found
    with the crack-head
he likes to push her around
    because he is also lost
    and was never found

They are stumbling into a cul-de-sac
while the rest of us gomarching on
to the future without their kind

thank heavens or anything you like
thank yourself that youre not drunk
    stumbling unwisely blind
    thats not the answer
    the answer is more unkind
    the answer is
    we need a seismic shift
    in thinking

we must get out of this hole we're in
    the whole nature thing
    the whole consumerist
    the pollutioner
we cant afford no more to get pissed

    Its all to vacant
    the situation demands a prescence
    a whole ethos
and not one thats a bloody mess
    we gotta think about everything
    start all over again

I like it. However I felt when you started the verse, "Thank Heavens..." it was almost became another poem completely. Maybe it's just me, but either way I like the flow of that first part about the chick and the guy. Good stuff.
