i got my wisdom teeth out this morning and my mouth is KILLING ME... i'm not too swollen except for my right side is kinda puffy... which might have to do with the fact that the right side teeth weren't through the gums at all, whereas the left were through juts a bit... so they were probably easier to take out. ahhh this sucks i can't wait until i feel better... how long will it take!!? i'm already sick of apple sauce and mashed potatoes!! arrrg, i'm just bein a whiner.. sorry.. haha.. juuust grumpy and bitter. i'll survive.
(((((((((hugs!!!))))))))) I had my wisdoms taken out when I was 18. None of mine had surfaced either, and yeah it hurt for several days. (sorry, but it did) I did use a not-too-hot water bottle on my cheek to help with some of the pain and while it didn't do a LOT... it did help some. I found that warmish foods were the easiest to eat; too hot started the bleeding up again, and too cold was downright painful. My foods of choice were warm pudding & lemon yogurt - you could give them a try if you're tired of taters! love, mom
I had all wisdom teeth removed. Lived on fruity baby food, pudding, & yogurt for like a week. My 1st cheeseburger was practically orgasmic, after the pain subsided.
Aww, I hope you feel better soon! I drank lots of carnation instant breakfast with soy milk and ate lots of mashed potatoes and oatmeal. I also took lots of advil, drank tons water, and took a multivitamin everyday. I ended up getting a dry socket on one of the removed teeth, and that's when the real pain started. I'm sure your dentist told you this, but if after 3-4 days you're still in a lot of pain, or the pain is increasing, don't hesitate to call the office back. For me what they did was take out the stitches on that tooth and pack it with some kind of putty type stuff, and I was amazed how something that simple did such an amazing job of alleviating the pain.
thats shitty. i had mine out almost a year ago, all four of them. were you awake? i couldnt afford the general anasthetic lol. i second the yoghurt suggestion, or try making a fruit and yoghurt smoothie. i hope they gave you lots of T3s!
Yeah, I got my wisdom teeth out last June. It wasn't as terrible as everyone had told me it would be, but I can't say that it was any fun. It was mostly just pretty uncomfortable, so I can understand where you're coming from. I hope you feel better soon.
