it is crazy, it used to scare me... There were 2 hum? The first one i only remember when atreyu has to go across statues that shoot beams out of their eyes lol ... Seconds there was this bird and this robot with merry go around faces...and monsters that come out of the ground...hmmm
Oh, I remember that movie! I HATED watching it as a child. I never really payed attention to it and it seemed like it would never end..
the wolf terrified me, but overall i was obsessed with that movie as a child. thanks for bringing back odd memories.
I saw this movie in German once, while tripping on mushrooms. Needless to say, that was scary. Other than that I loved it every time I saw it. Has anyone else read the book though? Shit there was so much more weird shit in there, and it's NOT a kids book, so if you like the story, I highly reccomend you read the book!
I always thought the princess in the end was like the most beautiful woman on earth...then I grew some and watched it and now she looks like a little kid...man, growing up... Anyway though. I love that movie...but I'm all for the kids fantasy cheesiness... Secret of Nime, Labyrinth, The Last Unicorne anyone?
hell yeah alex and the dark crystal and the princess bride that movie was great as a kid, it did make me cry as a kid but even more so now, watching it now is horrible...
We have that movie on dvd. My oldest son is 7 years old and he really likes it, although the dying horse scene always upsets him. The twins are still a little too young to be into that movie yet (they're almost 3.5 years old) Anyway, decent flick, I think males tend to enjoy it more than females it seems. I definitely can't say it was one of my favorites. The beginning tends to drag a bit, but once it picks up, it's okay.
I love that movie. I used to cry when Atreyu died though. Yes, I know the name of the fucking horse. And the evil dog thing looks kind of like my dog... But my puppy looks much nicer and a lot less... fang-y.
I loved the movie. I even remember seeing it in theatres and wanting to have Falcor for a friend. My other friend Michael though, he has had reoccuring nightmares about the wolf for years...
I loved that movie as a kid!!! I still do!!! I even have the book now. Oddly, monsers coming out of the ground, a big wolf, and lasers coming out of a statues eyes didn't freak me out as much as a giant fan almost chopping up the main character...(Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory)
