Anyone else a fan of this movie? Personally, it's one of my favorite horror movies of all time. I'm also into blood-and-gore type horror movies, but what really sets Rosemary's Baby apart for me is that fact that Roman Polanski showed so much restraint with the material. He hints at what is going on, but never completely comes out and says it. He doesn't give us any more information than Rosemary has, putting the audience right in the protagonist's shoes--we don't know what's exactly what's going on any more than she does. Thoughout the film, it's a really paranoid, psychological kind of horror, and I think that's kind the hardest to pull off. Of course then there's the last scene, which is way over the top.
Not enough satanic cock in it for my liking. Only joking, it's a brilliant movie, but not one that bears many repeated viewings, imho. Like Don't Look Now.
It's absolutely wonderful. It's been one of my favorites for a long time. The book (by Ira Levin) is excellent as well.
This is simply amazing. It creeped me out when I was little, and I'm quite sure it still will. There isn't many other movies that scare you like this. It's such a smart movie. Pretty much no gore in it and it's still really creepy.
