This is just MY little rant. Some of you may happen to be either Big or Tall or both. I mean NO offense, But! These store SUCK!!!! I am a small framed man. Where are the stores that sell MY clothes besides k-mart,walmart or target Kids department????? I'm five foot four inches tall. 130 pounds. As a teen I had to have my clothes made by a tailor, or go naked. Lets have some stores that sell clothes for us smaller folks. Huh!
I feel your pain. I have to cut and hem or cuff all of my pants. I've learned to live with shoulder seams half way to my elbow.
Wow this is lame... Ever go to a mall? Hollister, AE, Kohls, Footlocker, Areopostale, Sears, JC Penny there are tons... its okay if you can't afford those clothes... just don't ask me for any change.
Agreed! I am 5' 2" & my boyfriend is 5' 6". Impossible. Oh, & the mall is evil, sir. What a waste of money... not to mention slave labor. (This is the consumer advocacy forum, eh?)
I agree im like 5'4" 125, and when I buy jeans and crap from like major stores are like freaking circus tents, but i bought a pair of jeans from urban outfitters and they fit me like a freaking glove, there my favorites, I wear them like everyday
To politely. answer your question, Not in years have I even been able to leave my apartment. I'm disabled. I just got tired of seeing only Big/Tall stores.
matt, it is odd that you see women's petites but not anything for slender small framed men. Maybe its and ego thing: the short and little store would get few takers. they'd be afraid it meant their willies.
Were are all of you from that you can't smaller clothes? This is sheer and utter news to me... I may have to send some of the clothes from Harrisburg out to where you guys are...
I WANT SMALLER CLOTHES! I am 4 feet 11 inches and I weigh 98 pounds and I can't find anything that will fit me.
Brainstew: One of our adopted kids is very petite. She shops at a store in Anchorage called 4-5-6 as in the sizes. Becky is now 42 and 2 kids behind her and she still shops there. Im sure in a city the size of Philly there must be similar shops. By the way this shop is not a break your budget type of place.......Dennis
Well, I'm kinda scared to go outside and all of the stores with clopthes that fit me have little kid clothes, things that at my age, I have no interest to wear. There's only 1 place I go and the clothes are for Korean women, they are VERY small.
i have a 33" leg. so buying jeans at a box store usually leaves me either exposing my pretty white socks or walking a half mile on my new pair of jeans.
im tall and a skinny waist...which seems like not a big problem...(way wrong ive got big hips and thighs) nothing ever fits everywhere... I dont think anyone can find clothes that fit, its a conspiracy.
The Fashion and Crafts forum has clothing makers who would be pleased to customize their work to your individual body size and shape.
I hate to buy longleg pants. And forget buying shorts anymore. The longlegged pants are always too long, and the stores I shop, don't even offer to hem them. (Yeah, even for a fee.) And who has time to sew anymore? I tried to hem my own pants once, and the results weren't pretty. I have plenty of shorts, but don't get to wear them much, because most every public store and building, is so chilly air-conditioned cold. Why can't we have stores that sell cool and practical stuff, stuff well-designed with quality and lots of features? Or maybe Made-in-USA for a change? Or at least some place with decent pay for workers or known for quality, such as Japan? Not all that cheap Made-In-China in pretty much slave labor factories and sweatshops? I get so sick-and-tired of buying a really good featured model, to see it discontinued right after I buy it. "Gee, I hope it lasts forever, now that I can't buy it anymore," I lament to myself.
I seriously don't know how you kids can't find clothes that fit... am I the only boss person around here? I mean holy crap its terrible that you can't find clothes that fit you... lmao
Hmm, guess I don't really understand the complaint. For one, in comparison to other companies, there really aren't that many Big & Tall stores in existence anyway. Two, why do you think they went into business in the first place?--Because all the other stores sell clothes that are too small!
"Kids"??? First, I started the thread. I'm 46 years old and STILL buy my briefs, trousers and shirts in the BOYS department at whatever store. GOD forbid I ever need a TUX. I'd have to buy one and have it altered. My biggest point was that given the FACT that there ARE small people, it might be nice to be able to get clothes 'Off-The-Rack" and without having to seek out specialty shops or send my new clothes around the planet so someone can alter them to fit 'ME'.
