Seizure meds and marihuana

My doctor told me that you can have seizures if you take seizure meds and smoke pot. What do you all think?

 

I'd trust him, at least if my doctor told me, he's chill about pot and he wouldn't lie to me about it.

 

yea id listen to him, most doctors dont really care if you smoke pot anyways, there not going to rat you out or lie to you unless their a real dick

 

I went to a new psychiatrist on monday and this guy didnt know a damned thing about marijuana and he told me if i didnt stop smoking he would have me court ordered to go to rehab. When i thought about what had happened later (father telling me i am stupid on the way home, doctor saying drugs arent medicine, etc.) I realised that i am in deep shite right now whereas before I thought there was nothing wrong w/ what was happening. Really got me depressed.

 

Fuck that, your doctor can't do that to you, i believe there is some sort of protection there patient doctor confidence or something like that although you're only 17. But even so I think all they can do is tell your parents, that's bullshit though sorry to hear Alaxsxa

Different meds can react with THC in harmful ways. If your doctor says it can cause seizures, then it can most likely cause seizures. Doctors are not allowed to lie to their patients and ethically they wouldn't either. If you honestly don't trust your doctor then ask another doctors oppinion.

If you are under 18 a doctor can tell your parents about anything. If it involves threats to the your well being or someone else's well being, they can tell the cops. That's in most states.

 

I took klonopin once and smoked weed. Nothing happened except I got fucked up. But if your doctor says don't do it then I wouldn't do it.
