New here; Just a bit shy and awkward... a little about me?

So, I'm really not ALL that shy. ; But... you know. I don't know. -Shrugs.- I guess I mainly just want to meet new people... people that will understand who I am, what I am, and why I am. I'm 17 years old, and biologically female. But... I've never been comfortable being a girl. I mean, yeah I wear dresses and make up and do my hair all nice, but I still... sort of feel like that's the image I'm supposed to keep up, because of my 'perfect, cheerleader sisters'. It's lame to think that, but still...

I feel more comfortable wearing loose jeans and a t-shirt. I like my hair relatively short and I think rather along the lines of a guy. I'm simple and easy to please, as long as there's food and entertainment involved. Haha. I'm generally laid back but I do have my hyper active moments like most teens do. My forte is sports and reading/writing, but hey, those are common things. I can peel a banana with my toes...? Haha, most people go "EWW" at that, but whatever.

Huhm. I like anime, cosplaying, roleplaying, drawing, singing, dancing, writing, reading, computers....? <<; Bleh. I don't know. I feel a bit stupid being here. But I need a community that can help support me, because my family... they love me, but they just don't understand. I'm sure I'm not the only one in that predicament, eh? My friends are trying hard to understand; I have the "I still love you, boy or girl" and that's great. And then I get the "it's a phase. I thought I was a girl for a year" <-- that made me laugh, because the guy's just... aha. But I understand, you know, the days where you're just frustrated being who you are, and you want to get out of it.

This was a slap in the face to me... I think 2 days ago. I don't even know what brought it on. Just all of a sudden, I was zoning out and staring at the sparkly glitter stuff on my wall (I have no idea what it is. Glue? Glitter? Eh...), and then it hit me: I shouldn't be a girl. I don't want to be a girl. These boobs are uncomfortable, there should be something in my underwear instead of... nothing... (; wow, I'm NOT making any sense here). I don't know. Some people are saying I'm too young. You're never too young to discover who you are.

... Oh dear, I've ranted. o_o; Heheh, yeah, shy? Pft. Anyway... I'd just like to communicate with people that have the same interests as me. People who are going through what I'm going through. People who won't judge. People who will just let me... be and be with me.

Oh, yay! n_n Uhm... well to be honest I'm starting to hate Naruto even though I cosplay quite a few characters xD There's SO many anime's I ... hm. I'll try to list! Sailor Moon, DBZ (GT sucks though ;><), Death Note, FLCL, Bleach, The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Yami no Matsuei, Sensitive Pornograph (I can't help it xD, Ouran High School Host Club, Trigun... ;>> Haha, I'd list more but that's quite a list already! XD

I think your rebellion against your gender is awesome. I love nature personally, but I also believe in fighting it whenever it gets to be a pain in the ass. We have free will so we may as well use it, right? Act however you want to and don't let some label decide how you live your life.

As you grow up, you'll hopefully learn the true about human potential, the fact that it's nearly unlimited! We can do just about anything with ourselves. The biggest limits we face are the self imposed ones.

Hey, what anime is the guy with the sausage in his mouth from? I was into anime and manga way back in the late 90's, when the only way you could get ahold of uncensored and subbed anime (never liked dubs) was via fansubs (I kinda miss those days...$5 for 2 hr VHS tape?! Damn!) but I became involved with other things and my interest died out.

Anyway, now that I have netflix I'm thinking of getting back into anime a little. I kinda miss it as it was a big part of my life in middle school. Any series you recommend?

To give you an idea, I really enjoyed Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Dragonball (original, not so much Z), Fushigi Yuugi, Ranma 1/2, Evangelion and shoujo stuff like Marmalade Boy and Sailor Moon. The last series I watched a significant chunk of was One Piece.

Anything you'd suggest that's somewhat in the same vein? And what are your favorite series?
