well i went campin this weekend... left friday n came back bout 2 hours ago. it would have been fun except it rained and i nearly froze to death! i should have packed my slippers... and about 10 pairs of sweat pants and all my blankies! i didnt even get to bring my doggie in the pond cuz it wasnt allowed. grr well luckily im not dead! and why is it that i always have to pee 50 hundred times during the night?! its a pain! i already have bladder problems but shit that was just too much for me! but ill be goin again next year.... when its warmer... just cant forget to bring warm clothes!
eh rains nothing, try going hiking in the mountians in august and waking up under 2-3 feet of wet snow. that was pain, I was snowed in for a few days waitin for the shit to melt. they actually had forest survice guys out on skies searching for people who needing rescuing, that freek snowstorm took a lot people by surpise. Was quite the pradicament but nothing my group couldnt handle. we where camped near the top of a pass wich was probably 1000 feet over the treeline so we really felt the worst of that storm. .
snow in august? crazy! well i wont be goin campin till next summer and ill keep that preparation thing in mind next time!
na not really. you get used that kind water in canada. especially neer the rockies. one day it will be hot and sunny, and next it snows. Im going camping this weekend. weather report is calling for a high of 8 degrees on saturday (45 ish F) and 40-60% chance of rain. possible frost warmings over night. (frost + rain = snow) I keep camping untill the first cold snap, when the lakes freez over. once the lakes freez over its kind a hard launch to my boat.
Shit, I can't wait till our two months of winter comes so I can go camping again. Man o man I can't wait.
I was in the rockies in northern new mexico and it would be cold then hot then hail then rain all in one day lol
I think I prefer fall or Winter camping to summer camping, nice cool weather, no bugs, snowshoeing, ski-ing, camping in Quinzees, lean-to's and snow shelters, cool crisp air of winter with magical snow falling, dressed in woolen layers and warming up by a nice hot fire...ahhhh
