This guy speaking at the RNC right now is creeping me out. Did the Republicans pay him off or something? I am referring to this Democrat, neocon senator, Zell Miller. This guy is like on some nazi death rant, raving about how great Bush is.

This is some bizarre, scary shit. What the fuck is wrong with these people?

See, this is what I hate about the left, he has to be a psycho to support Bush for president over Kerry?

It's not who he is supporting it the stance he took. He acted like a school yard bully, not a mature man. All he did was talk shit on Kerry, it was pretty damn pathetic.

    Syd,

Rat was saying the man is acting like a psycho... and he happens to support Bush. He was not saying that the man is a psycho for supporting Bush. If you had seen his rant at the RNC you would understand what we are talking about.

And this is exactly why I do not like having only two parties to choose from. Miller is supposedly a democrat, and there are a lot of uninformed Americans out there, particularly in Georgia where he is from who think, well he is a democrat, so he must support what I, as a democrat, support, or a lack of choices forces people to vote for the closest thing to a democrat that they can find. Then we get him into office and he does this stuff. He isn't a democrat in my book. Of course most of them who claim to be aren't in my book because I have higher standards but that is a different discussion altogether. I personally think the same is true about Kerry. I think he is one of the wolves in sheep's clothing, but that is just mho.

While I do not like Bush in the least bit, they kind of have a point, the same one I've been trying to make for months now:
Or I will add that of a liar.

Of course I use this arguement to encourage people to vote for a 3rd party candidate, I do agree with the assessment of Kerry. He is wishy washy and people can see that. But I can manage to say it without looking like a lunatic.

I liked the Governator better. I mean, how can you possibly disagree with "If anyone is pessimistic about our economy, I call them economic girly men"?

And did anyone else notice how the Governator was repeatedly raising his right hand with fingers outstretched during the entire speech?

that guy was creepy, he seemed rather angry...
i totaly agree with this, i would probably consider myself a republican, due to what i understand republicans are supposed to stand for, unfortunately they don't and i don't care for the democrats either, so i can either vote for someone i dont agree with, like, or even want to win, or not vote... kind of screwed either way :$

That "scary shit" you are sensing is the fact that you're a pansy liberal and he's a person with a backbone. The fact that you're scared is proof that pansy liberals are unfit to run a country and do what has to be done when it is threatened.

Zell Miller was displaying a character trait called strength. That's why you didn't recognize it.

    Blue skies,
    -Jeffrey

So because I found the guy to be bizarre and frightening, that makes me a "pansy liberal"?

It's kind of like when I had people in here calling me a "conservative" because I said I don't like Michael Moore and his hypocrisy.

I see beyond this liberal/conservative rhetoric people like you are blinded by.

Zell Miller is nothing but an inbred neocon fraud who wants to see everything America once stood for destroyed. The guy should by shot in the head then pissed on.

Jeffery, the "strength" you seem so willing to blindly laud is predicated upon lies and imperialistic militancy which have historically been the downfall of nations pursuing such vitriol.

Bombing the shit out of foreign lands is no sign of strength, it is a sign of the desperate grasping for ever more power that fails to calculate the longterm blowback for such aggression.

Unilateral superpower status seems to have gone to the heads of far too many in our nation who sit smugly in their suburban environments blissfully unaware of the damage Washington is continuing to proliferate at irreparable cost both to to our economy (and the future economy under which your children will one day be forced to live) and to our national character.

If anything this is a demonstration of the very rot that is eroding our nation from within.

as opposed to conservative bullies who just beat up everyone who disagrees with them because they can't justify thier beliefs with anything more than "god says so".

This terrorism thing has given the RNC a new rallying cry that they had lost with the fall of communism. In a way it's almost better because it involves a competing religion to Christianity that can be bashed and further gives an excuse for the relentless knee-jerk reaction of using military force against groups that aren't liked. Moreover, the terror war can be melded in with other causes that have nothing to do with terrorism. It's difficult to think of a more ideal situation for the religious right in America to have.

Please change your name to "Asshole Jeffrey" you are such a fuck. That Zell guy spoke with nazi-like zest. He had an evil glare in his eye the whole time....I was fantasizing about playing t-ball with his body and head.

This is not a dem/rep issue, its the fact that the south DID rise again and it sucks, it would be nice to see some smarterpeople in positions of power, instead of these ranters.

Jeffery, if you knew anything you would KNOW Pressed Rat is not a "liberal" pansy or otherwise.

    Yeah, Zell Miller was scary.
That was my first thought, but I think he's just raving mad. There was a hell of a lot of hatred in that guy. Scary.

Even after it was over, Wolf Blitzer grilled him on false facts, how many of things that he criticized about Kerry's record for voting against, Cheney voted agaisnt the same things. His response, this isn't about Dick Cheney this is about John Kerry.

You know what 'peaceful'jeffrey, Hitler had a lot of backbone too and Hitler was also a raving lunatic just like this man.

Apparanly John McCain was disturbed by this mans speech as well, he then stated that he thought Kerry was qualified to be president and that this mans rhetoric did a disservice to the republican party.
