That gap is on a birds arm
Torn
By sea-columns
Old coral trunks
With oyster leaves

I sank there awhile
Treaded greasy water ferns
Till feet were gone
With holes and bruises

They search
Around
For food
Awkwardly
Holding paper
Awkwarldy

Birds peck
At sand
And
Dirt
Jerking
