Hey all, I worked in corporate for 6 1/2 years until I literally started to have very sharp chest pains and thankfully my husband supported my decision to get out of corporate. I am now trying to make a living out of designing my own jewelry, I would so much appreciate it if some of you all could take a look at my website and give me suggestions and or comments. If you like the website, I would be so much appreciative if you could pass the link on. Love you all and thank you for your time. Musik www.bluepumpkindesigns.com
nice things there sister.. i would however recommend,, since you are trying to sell merchandise make the pictures closer up of the jewelry,,, even when one clicks the thumbnails they do not show much of the product and certainly not any detail of it.... and buying over the net, people want to be able to see what they are buying... luv n lite
Thanks! I'll have to look into that. I actually have to move my internet to a different hosting web site so I was thinking during the transition I will be able to make changes. Was hoping for constructive criticism from artistic eyes, so where better to turn? My family. Huge hugs, Musik
i would have to agree with dilli, for jewelry online, it would be better to have it displayed by itself on a plate with a close up picture than what is shown on the site. One really can't even see the jewelry, except the shape of it, which won't sell for $125. Don't just stick to online, check out local art fairs, flea markets, shows and other opportunities to sell. i have a friend who designs hemp clothes and have seen how tough it can be going the independent(but still needing $$)route. Good luck.
It's funny, the reason why the jewelry is presented on people is because I was told by a person I ran into on the streets, that it is more likely for people to purchase the jewelry if they can see it on another human. Which in effect will help them imagine the piece on themselves. At first I had pictures up of all the jewelry designed with a background of artistic articles which I found in my apartment. I think I'm going to change back, especially if more than one person agrees with this. I am hitting a lot of fairs this summer, or as many as I can afford. Can anyone suggest any fairs? Thanks so much everyone, love ya, musik
i can see how presenting it in pics w/ ppl could help, but as it is, the necklaces might as well be lumps of coal on a string for all one can tell from the pic. Maybe some style of showing them both ways would really do it?
Maybe I will try that I'm also thinking that maybe if it is a face shot that when you click on the picture it will not just magnify the picture, but will be a close up shot of the jewelry. I have to go with what I have presently cause these shots cost me $ and starting to run low. I really appreciate the comments, truly I do. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, Musik
