Opeth

They are a really awesome progressive death metal band from Sweden. Anyone here like them?

 

Yeah, I really like them! My ex-boyfriend borrowed me some cd, Still Life (my favourite), Deliverance and Blackwater Park. They have a very particular style, some of their songs don't sound death metal (like 'Benighted'). In December there was also a concert near my city, but unfortunately I couldn't go... I think they're amazing, love them!

 

I like every song until the vocals start. It seems to me that each song turns to shit when the vocals hit. I don't understand why, it really is unfortunate.

 

Although I think the vocalist is pretty bad as well, I hate them when the music starts.
