New to Marijuana - Got some questions!

Hi there, I hope you guys can help me.

I suffer from depression for a few years, and having found a number of anti-depressants unsuccessful and even worsening my illness, I've decided to give marijunana a go. I've been speaking to many depression sufferers, and they've been telling me it's the only thing that's helped them get through their hard times. So over the past few days I've been doing my research and have made an informed decision that I want to go ahead and try it.

The thing is, the act of buying "drugs" is so not me. lol. I don't really have a clue what the hell I'm doing. Once I buy some marijuana, I won't even know how to roll up or anything like that. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it I guess. I assume there's some guides on the internet. First things first though: I need to get hold of some marijuana.

I live in London, U.K, and I know where I can come across some "dealers". There's usually a whole bunch of them scattered around in Camden Town.

But I don't know what to say to them. What shall I ask for? How much do I need to buy? How do I know that what I am getting is good stuff. I really am totally clueless on the subject!

Also, this might be a stupid question, but I should ask for "skunk" right? CANNABIS or WEED is something else right? Sorry to have to ask such obvious questions, but I really am a total newbie to the world of marijuana.

say your looking for weed (or maybe green, idk the lingo there), be as polite as possible. i say get an 8th or a half 8th. the uk i would say maybe 20 usd for a half 8th and 40 for an 8th (guess). then go but a pipe for about 10 usd, maybe 15 at a local head shop. ur good to go with a lighter after that.. good luck!

 

First let me tell you first hand I suffered from mild-severe depression, and marijuana has helped me tremendously. Once I became a couple times a week smoking I felt and continue to feel 100% better, I feel like myself again, happy, sociable, and loving life. I mean it's different for everyone but I wish you the same success I received =)

If you're confident the person is a dealer, casually ask if they have any bags on them. Don't be all you know whispering "do you have bags of marijuana?" because one you'll look stupid, and two you'll probably look like a narc. Just say casually, Hey man, got any bags? Assuming he knows what you mean, and is in fact a dealer, and does in fact have bags, you'll have to tell him how much. Ask him how much a gram costs, and after that buy a gram or two.

After you get back to your place, read around online about how to roll joints. It's not hard and you'll roll a few before you get one that works, and they probably wont be pretty but as long as they work cosmetics can be worked out once your skill goes up a bit.

I hate buying drugs, I found a decent dealer. I would not hang out him at a bar, but I definatly don't have a problem going to his apartment (any more)

I buy large 1 month quantitys at a time. Its cheaper, and you don't have to go as often.

 

New dealers dont like it when you bring more then one person. My dealer has told me not to bring any friends over. My dealer in highschool was the same way, I once went to get weed with my buddy.... He had to wait accross the street.

 

Buy a gram and smoke it out of your newly purchased bowl ))

Is marijuana bad for a 14 year old adolescent? I Have 5 months not smoking pot just cuzz i can't get the answer to that question..

 

marijuana is fine, as long as you dont do it everyday maybe the most should be once every Two weeks and your fine but you need to be able to feel if you start to do it too much

 

mon smoking reefer if your 14 is bad for yu, it gwan be bad for you all through your teenage years, irie, but not if you limit your smoking to occasional joint it makes it more of a treat puffing reefer if you only do it from tym to tym you know mon.

 

Also, If you a noob to buying. MAKE IT SOUND LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!. If not the guy will think hes never bought before and try and rip you off. It happens. Dont worrie about joints for newbies. Best way is to make a bowl or pipe and get one. Bowls so much better for a newbie smoker. Or thats what i think.

 

when i was 15 i could smoke as much as i wanted. It's fine. if you get depressed(which doesnt typically happen) or sick or you juts dont like it, stop. I love mj because there are no bad side-effects to me

 

yeah, seriously, you dont need joints or to buy a bong. Just make a cheap homeade bong out of a water bottle. Although it is always nice to have a bong.

I'd strongly recommend just buying a glass pipe. They are available at most smoke shops (at least they are near me). You may also find a metal pipe, which is adequate and probably easier to find. Rolling a joint is an option, but if you're looking to smoke only small amounts over a long period of time, joints are inefficient and wasteful.

If you do buy a pipe, I would recommend maintaining it carefully. You can use a straightened paper clip to clean out any tar or gunky build up that occurs. You can also use a screen in the pipe (some purists would never suggest this, if you're going for efficiency and ease then use a screen).

One other interesting bit of trivia I've noticed over the years of initiating new people...sometimes some people don't actually get high the first time, or couple of times, they try it. I don't know why, and I can't explain it (though to be honest, I've never researched it so this is anecdotal info). Some people just don't get high until the second or third time. Either they don't recognize what it is, or don't smoke enough (or properly...breathe it deep into your lungs with some air and hold it before exhaling) or maybe it just doesn't work. It sure as hell worked on me the first time (the three foot glass bong probably helped, too), but I'm just advising you that your mileage may vary.

 

Buying from street dealers in London can be a bit shady mate. Not all the time but if some of em pick up you aint a person who buys drugs they might think your workin for the law. It could get violent or they might just fuck you off.
If you do go to a street dealer make sure you feel safe in the surroundings. Night time is obviously not a good idea. If you know one is selling just keep a look out and see if other people come and buy from him. Then go up dead casually and just say "any skunk?" or somthin. if yes ask how much but dont flash money round everywhere and freak him out. be suttle and chat shit "hows it goin man" and "busy" etc to pass the awkwardness..
The cost will usually be £10-£20
