I have been trying for about a month to find a way to record streaming radio onto a computer so I can listen to it later. I have not gotten anywhere so far and was wondering if anyone knew how to do this?

soundforge should do it, or any competent ripper... you should be able to "record what you hear" as a wave file... hope you have the disc space to save that file tho! :)

Record what you hear, I like it, is there a way to plug the headphone jack straight into the microphone jack ot get perfect recording quality? I sure hope so.

You shouldn't have to plug anything like that up... Soundforge (if you've got it) has an option for what you want the source of your recording to be... just select your soundcard... Been a while since I've messed around with doing that stuff though...

I knew I would find a way. Given time. Using Windows Media Player, you'll need the exact URL. Click on "File". Then "Open URL". Click "Open" (File.) When you're done, click on "Save-As". Choose mp3 for the extention.

Downloaded Sound Forge, now if I can figure out how to get it to record without having the sound on I will be in good shape.

You can do what I do. I record on to a mini disc and then transfer it into the comp. with either Audacity or CD Wave. Basically it's how I transfer my masters. Then you can use CD Wave to break it down into individual tracks.
