I must admit I have eaten a great deal of their BK veggie burgers, which if you order it without mayo its totally vegan. PETA had some adverts for the burger after it was released so I figured I'd try it. Its not that bad, but of course its the fries that win it. I'm glad they dont fry their fries with beef tallow, i've heard they use a mixture of peanut oil to get their flavor, which if you ever get the chance...get some potatoes and some peanut oil and fry some fries with it, man its totally awesome! meat eaters are the majority, so they will keep BK around for along time to come, but in the meanwhile, I figure if everyonce and awhile, support the alternative meatless burgers, and let those big fat corporations realize that there ARE vegetarians and vegans who out there.
I pretty much never eat fast food... if I do I get a salad... I went to Alex's Restaurant in Clearwater Beach.... it's one of the kinds with the older ladies who sound like they're from Georgia and are single mothers... Anywho.... I said I wanted a salad and a baked potato with no sour cream... just the baked potato... then I said no dairy and they were like "Do you want ham with your salad"....
Hell yeah dude, BK veggie burgers w/o mayo are the shit man, they taste so good. And I think it is a every veg*n's right to go there and buy it because if they get enough sales from that Veggie Burger, other restaraunts will start making more Veg*n foods, and if we keep buying those, it will get even more popular and there will be more and more Veg*n meals on menus across the country. Peace and Love, Dan
Heh heh, it's jus so ridiculous. I wonder if I jus eat thos burgers...hmmm, prolly almost die like that "Supersize Me" guy. Tho, Hardee's Thickburgers are realllllly good.
live TV free! I've not seen this advert at all. Sounds like that's a good thing. remeber folks, our strongest voice is tied to the almighty dollar/pound/euro/rupee/yen/etc vote with your spending habits...and drop those CEOs a line telling them why your part of their $13 billion or so won't be coming their way. Real things to be miffed about in fast-food: Iceberg lettuce. ugh. colon corks. repeat after me: "romaine and spinach are good and can be profitable" you just need that supplier to come every other day... wait she already does! ranch dressing -this is wrong on so many levels. provide a few more salad dressings dehydrated onions.-- cheapest veggie after cabbage. use fresh in rings and on sandwiches why is Wendy's the only place one can get a 99 cent baked potato on the road? I'd pay other outlets if they carried bakers! tiny water cups-- If I pay a buck I get this giganto size cup for sugar syrup, chemical flavorings and water. Can't I get my nalgene/gsi refilled without hassle? I'd pay for ice. water and electricity have costs, fair enough.
I'm pretty glad they put their number on the ad, I get a kick out of leaving messages. I still havn't tried their veggie burgers yet. I need to if you say they are good.
I swear commercials whose parodies look very real are made by former stoners. i personally enjoyed the commercial even though i probably will never eat at burger king again for the rest of my life. another scary/fun commercial are the playstation 2 commercials for syphon filter where the news lady is smiling then giving secret spy information. Back to the BK ad. i eat meat, but feel fast food is half the reason families are torn apart. feed the kids low grade meatrash and never have a meal together as a family, and if people do its in front of the tv. So the commercial is clever, the idea behind it sad
I went to a vegan site and I swear to god they said BK fries are fried in oil and chicken fat, or some sort of mixture with chicken fat in it.
