im watching lion king (first one - i refuse to see the sequel) its been years since ive seen this movie and i must say i feel somewhat like a little kid whos excited to see it for the first time again. i get this feeling often when i see an old movie or here a song from years ago that remind of me something happy. am i alone here? you ever see or hear something and feel like a kid all over again (in a good way)?
    its a good feeling :D

All the time, it feels great.

I've recently found a couple of really old Russian cartoons I used to love as a kid on YouTube..... spent an entire day watching them and remembering my very early childhood.

Those lyrics are rather lame when translated.

didn't the 'origeonal' have a LOT of points in common with something earlier form japan, something about a white lion. i forget what it was called. but it's a point that has been raised by and among people whome i believe probable to know about such things.

    oh well, akuna mattata.

    ...

lets see, things that remind me of positive experiences and feelings in childhood:
off hand, going for long walks by myself in the woods, and maybe plastic model kits, especialy anything to do with small scale trains, doodling in pencil too.

if childhood wasn't so stressful that most people occlude most of it, a lot fewer would claim difficulty in remembering any part of it.

so i DON'T like being reminded, for the most part of mine, BUT, there WERE SOME damd good parts to it. mostly not having to be arround a whole lot of other people very much of the time.

and it's not like mine was any kind of untypicly horrific or anything either. if it had been, i too would be unlikely to remember so much of it.

as for the movie(/s) in question, i was old enough i could have taken grand kids to see them if i'd have had any children of my own at all, when they came out.

you know, come to think of it, i kind of liked ice age better. but those mentioned were ok too.

I was in Africa recently and was talking to a man about something and I was starting to get into a panic....long story....anyway, after I finished ranting he just looked at me and said 'hanuka matata' - I nearly weed my pants I was so excited!

Then I sang the song to him and he neary weed his pants (I really can't sing)

nope i was definitely talking about specific moments, not childhood in general. ha my childhood was terrible but i do have some good memories at friends houses and was away from home or at school
