HI IM NEW!! my names sam! please help me..

hi everyone pleased to meet you all!

i am new here and new to dread making,
please can you help me?


i have made my dreadlocks using the correct method of backcombing and so on..
but what i have come across is that, they are not flexible! they just hang out stiff!
my dreads vary in sizes betwen 6 inches to 22 inces long!

they stand out stiff and dont move about! can you help me?
i would love if they swayed about like other peoples do!!

My friend had this same problem, then she washed her hair a few times, and they became flexible =]

ahh thank you so much, i was thinking if they may have been to tight from backcombing but i think it may be the wax? ill give em a thorough wash tommorow and see the reults!

i washed my dreads thorughly today again, and they seem to begin to swing a bit!!

one more question...

do i have to put wax on them every time i washed them.. because i think that was what caused them not to swing!!
