    Congratulations! I'm sure you'll make a wonderful driver :)

Drive safe and if you're not using your car, can I borrow it? :D

Well done. You can start accumulating points, starting with old people and mums with prams, you get extra for hitting people using zebra crossings and traffic lights. Shame it's to become really bloody expensive to drive in the next few years.

Well she can't really for 2 years. If she gets 6 points in the first 2 years of driving, she will lose her license and have to retake her theory and practical again. It's harsh, but at least it's making younger drivers more sensible and trying to combat the boy racer thing.

i think that was a reference to a troma movie...personally i think the highest points should go to people on bikes who aren't obeying traffic rules.

Too true. I passed my driving test at 19 and hadn't the slightest clue how to drive. After ten years of road cycling I'm probably a better driver than most drivers. I think you should be made to learn the rules of the road on a pedal bike. Try going around a busy roundabout or changing lanes on an unprotected slow moving vehicle, and you soon learn how to make split second life-saving judgements and compensate for bad drivers...

Plus we'll all need to be riding bikes when the global warming taxes come in and when peak oil hits...

my biggest fear on roads is motorbikes...its because of bikes that im scared of lane changes... im driving to my friends house today (first proper drive on own) and am taking abit of a detour to avoid a big roundabout and the duel carriageway hehe...start easy and build up i think....joining the expressway frightens me hehe, will practice abit when roads are quiet in the evening
