I was watching this movie based on Quantum Physics, called "Down the Rabbit Hole". And to them, these scientists/physicists, all think that time travel will be possible within the next 50 to 100 years. I don't know where I stand on this issue, myself. But I think if we did create such a phenomenon, and people were getting into these "Time Travel Contraptions"... doesn't it make sense to anybody that the body wouldn't be able to handle the intense pressure of traveling backwards in time? Or traveling forward? Einstein is correct in falsifying this theory. By crushing it using PROOF that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light... Or if something can travel faster, we just haven't discovered it yet. People should really become enlightened with Quantum Physics. It's extremely interesting and makes a hell of a lot of sense!
if I had the power of time travel I would use it for evil. nah but seriously I think about this when i trip and it fucks with my mind. If time travel were possible how do we know that everything happening is not a cause of someone traveling back in time and changing something but, if that were true that means if that were true there would be another dimension where if that person did not mess with our time everything would have a different conclusion....I cant really understand what I'm trying to write but I know what I'm trying to say...my bad I just confused myself
really, I am telling you, do not trust what that movie says as 'science' from Wikipedia: "David Albert, a professor and the director of the Philosophical Foundations of Physics program at Columbia University, states that the film completely misrepresented his views." "Dr. Joseph Dispenza is a teacher at Ramtha's School of Enlightenment as is Amit Goswami, Mgr. Miceal Ledwith, and JZ Knight, who claims to channel Ramtha." as for the time travel crap I think it's most fun to believe in infinite paralell time lines and do not think time travel would be possible either way but maybe leaping to another dimension would be
If we could go back or forward in time...we would fuck everything up by accidently changing a seemingly meenless detail in the past, which would propel a series of events into motion that would forever alter our present day history as we know it for the worse...it would be to doom of all man-kind... eh...whatever...as long as i could see a real live Velociraptor in action...taking down a giant pussy herbivore dinosaur with a pack of his badass homeboy raptors.
How are you going to go forward in time? We've established that you must go faster than the speed of light to go backward. So, are we going to go slower than the speed of light? The slowest you can go is 1 sec/sec.
first of all, for time travel, one would have to wrap four dimensions, length, width, height, and duration around a fifth dimension of possible timelines. the parts would remain because, although they didn't exist at the time, they always existed in the limeted timeline of the machine's existance. also, trying to stop an event wouldn't open a paradox because it's simply one of many timelines, all existing simultaneously. If you wanted to visit a different outcome of an event, a shortcut would be to fold the two timelines together through a sixth dimension. the speed of light has no bearing on time travel or interdimensional travel, or hyperspacial travel for that matter.
Please by all means explain how you plan to "bend" a dimension, without going faster than the speed of light. I get that you probably just watched the video about the tenth dimension in the other thread, but you completely misinterpreted the complexity of it all.
Well as i am 15 i do it at school but i do AS science not gcse (did that a few years ago.) but i also read a shit load of it for leasure because i enjoy it...go on call me a freak/nerd but it is gooood. so i basically get it from school and books...lots of books. oh and wikipedia is fun to browse through random theories and things...
thats realy intresting stuff i love phisics the butterfly affect could also stop things your body could cause a gust of wind to be redirected and make katrina go off course peace are you a phisics teacher
haha no. im only 15 even though my profile said i was 69 for a while... I might consider it, but not a school teacher, i couldnt deal with that. Lots of twatty kids fucking with the people who actually want to learn. I would rather lecture at a university. that way the people who were there would want to be there, not be forced into it. and about that butterfly effect, that is very true, example accordig to the butterfly effect a hurricane could be caused by a girl in a dessert jumping up and down. that would cause small disturbances in the air which would in turn disrupt the ballance of pressure and cause lots of other crazy things to happen. Oh how we love chaos and sensitive dependance on initial conditions (posh for butterfly effect. remember that one kids )
