Hey guys (and ladies), I'm new to the forum and I've been reading a few pages back. There's a lot of good info and also a lot of repetative info. I've tried salvia four or five times now with different levels of effects and one semi bad trip. I was wondering if anyone who has used salvia alot has noticed a negative mental affect due to it. One poster a few pages back said he had and warned another to not smoke as much as he was thinking. In the few times I've smoked pot (and it was really, extremely high quality) I've noticed negative mental effects such as decreased short term memory, slower thinking, reduction of logical thinking etc. I also know several people who are "permifried" from pot. Thank you for your inputs, I look forward to reading them.
I haven't been smoking salvia for THAT long yet, but yeah... i have problems from pot too hehe I guess everything is bad for you once you do it too often or too much... and with something like salvia i think if you really can't handle a trip it will haunt you quite a while... But i should let more experienced people answer this question lol
Haha. Well i've smoked weed like 50 times and sal. like 30 times. Anyway- i really have bad short term memory from the weed- i'm positive it's from weed because these past couple months i've morphed into a humongous pot-head....also my salvia use has dropped slightly. Anyway- every single time i smoke Salvia i really feel mentally refreshed afterwards- i certainly don't notice any negative side effects. In fact, I've actually read material which suggests that routine salvia use may actually work to help ease symptoms of paranoia, nervousness and OCD. So...basically...SMOKE UP!!
Hey iceman the main permanent negative effect you would be at risk from with salvia is bringing on a latent mental illness like scizophrenia(sc), but that is true of all phsychedelics and some other drugs, aswell as traumatic or high stress events. Apart from that personally, I have used salvia about 40 times I think and have noticed no lasting negative effects (or any negative effects at all for that matter) and I know around 40 other people that have used salvia at some stage and none of them have ever exhibbited and lasting negative effects, at least that I am aware of. But having said that, very little is known about the long or short term effects of salvia compared to other drugs, so all you will get here are opinions, not facts based on anything substancial. So like everything its up to you to way any possible risks against the gains, like the man said, "if you want to play the game you have to roll the dice".
