Well, I haven't been to too many that I like anymore, but... The Guess Who & Joe Cocker in 2001, Reel Big Fish/Streetlight Manifesto/Suburban Legends/Westbound Train in 2006, and Eric Clapton & Robert Cray in 2007.
When was this?! I know for certain that they have never came any closer than that to the east coast. I'd love to see it happen though.
ohhh i want to see eric clapton and metallica. i cant wait for more good artists to come to brisbane. unfortunatly we dont get them too often
Eric Claption was in Brisbane in February and Metallica was here in 2004. My best gig ever?? Thats a tough one huh.........Its too hard to choose between Tool and Muse!
phew. I've got more than 900 shows under my belt. Ones that stand out include: String Cheese Incident and Keller Williams at Trees (Dallas, TX) 11-19-98 for Michael Kang and Keller's "Thirsty in the Rain." which did not make it onto any tape I've heard. Nov 19 (or so) 1999 YMSB George's Majestic, Fayetteville Ark., just a magical show in a COLD room (patio) and dinner with the boys before plus, I had my pee test for the new job BEFORE the show! Jeff can scarf ribs. March 1, 2001 Schwag Firehouse, Norman, Okla. I played mando for the Ripple encore. Feb 14 2004 Kan'Nal, Mercury Cafe Denver. Because you NEVER forget your first show! Bassnectar Cervantes', Denver date not recalled accurately: first dj who had artistry. Dallas 1988: first dead show. shut out, heard it on FM from the hall speakers

Oh man, I've been to quite a lot of gigs as well and some of them were so great for different reasons. Some just for the sound, some for the great party, some because it were bands I was longing to see for a long time and most of the time for a mix of all those reasons. Some of the gigs I digged the most: Iron Maiden at Dynamo 2000. They were headlining and it was the first time I saw them live. I still dig them but before 2000 they were really one of my favourite bands. So that was a great party back then. Satyricon and Darkthrone at Wacken 2004. I love the Wacken festival anyway, it's the greatest heavy metal festival in existence (biergarten 24 hours a day!), but with these two bands at midnight it really couldn't get much better. Great show and atmosphere, really blew me away! Enslaved at a small venue somewhere around 2004, I guess. We were there by car and just went to see a couple of fine black and folk metalacts. Of course I knew Enslaved, and maybe it had something to do with the fact I was pretty stoned, but it was really entrancing. Never heard it like that before, haha. I was floating between the audience there for an hour and had the best time ever Oh yeah, I also remember a great festival now in Summerbreeze, haha, almost forgot. It was at the german Summerbreeze festival in I think 2003. At one night Finntroll played and after them came Amorphis. It was at the end of the day so we were also already slightly intoxicated here. Well, I find Jaktens tid of Finntroll a fine album, and the other albums pretty decent as well, but live they make a really great party. Everyone was in the perfect mood for it, so the whole audience got moving, which always creates a good atmosphere. Great party, I saw Finntroll after that a few times more at other festivals but they never were so great as there in my opinion. After that came Amorphis, which I wanted to see live for a long time as well. I also dig The Doors very much, so when the Doors of the 21st Century came to the Netherlands in 2004 me and some friends just had to see them. We went to the festival Fear and loathing style, my friend passed out while they were jamming on Light my fire and at the end it started raining, but it was a great show nevertheless. Ian Astbury sure can make a good party, great singer/frontman (don't hit me!). Saw them live again last winter in the Heineken Music Hall, as Riders on the Storm. Wouldn't wanted to have missed that one neither. In 2005 I finally got to see the mighty Black Sabbath at Fields of Rock (dutch festival). Well, that speaks for it self. They rocked my soul! It was a pretty hot day as well, and I got wasted before the headliner Rammstein so it was all good, haha. An equally legendary band for me is Hawkwind, one of my favourite bands for sure. Saw them live as Space ritual at the Roadburn festival in 2005 where they did a mindblowing space rockshow. This festival has become one of my favourites since the first time I visited it. Every year they have the greatest space and stoner rock acts. In 2006 they had the whole Hawkwind, as well as Witchcraft, Orange Goblin, Spacehead, well and so on. And last but certainly not least, last summer I saw Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span live in the wonderful English countryside. Wanted to check that festival and Fairport Convention out for a few years already and I dig Steeleye Span even more, so it was really cool they were there as well. Great festival, really great atmosphere and great music! Well, and of course all those little and more unknown bands that can put up such great shows in those little halls. Really digged gigs like Nashville Pussy, Atomic Bitchwax, Drunk Horse, Boris and so on.
ahhh easily Roger Waters this year on the 12th May. I had front row centre tickets and Nick Mason came and joined him onstage. Roger actually recognised me from the first night and pointed at me and was like "not you again?!" A few pictures I took from the night!! After Roger it would probably have to be either The Who or Alice Cooper...
a few others i saw and loved:eric clapton(hyde park londen)-neil young(antwerpen)-yes(antwerpen)-bob dylan(brussel)-roger waters(antwerpen)-bruce springsteen(brussel)-paul mc cartney(antwerpen)-the doors with astbury(brussel)
