I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but... I don't know if it's the nostalgia, the fact that Alanis sings with a reckless abandon the likes of which I've rarely heard, the catchy melodies and pop gloss or the soul-baring lyrics, but I just can't get enough of this album lately. You Learn, in particular, is a real favorite of mine... When I listen to her sing, I feel like I am understanding her very essence... Wow, I love it. I-high... recommend gettin' your heart trampled on, to anyone... yeah I-high... recommend walkin' around naked in your living roou-hoom... Swallow it down! (what a jagged little pill) It feels so good! (swimmin' in your stomach) Wait until... the dust se--e-yeah-eh-eahttles! You live... You learn! You love... You learn! You cry... You learn! You learn hoo-hoooo you learn! You bleed You learn! You scream You leaaaheaaaheaaahearn!
Alanis! man! jagged little pill is one of my fave albums ever!!! you oughta know is a killer song and l also have to say that under rug swept is also great and despite all of the songs are great, my fave ones are "you owe me nothing in return" and "that particular time"... anyway, she's a great musician! l looooove her!!!!
There are times when I just loooove Alanis, but there are also times when she's really annoying me...But most times she gets me out of my blues when I'm like this =>...
It IS a great album. Alanis is a hardcore female rocker and I love her! "I got one hand in my pocket, and the other one is giving a peace sign." Great.
