The best in the jazz funk genre in my opinion, this man can get even the laziest anti dancers groovin! No offense jam bands, but this guy takes the cake for good vibes!!

    Does anyone else appreciate Kuti?

Open and close and Afrodisiac, two of the best albums in jazz/funk/fusion history up there with M. orchestra, weather report and return to forever!

Yeah Fela was a genius. It would be cool if hollywood made a biopic for him, maybe Don Cheadle could play him. And if you dig Mclaughlin check out Miles' Tribute to Jack Johnson, if you haven't already. Did you know that after Fela recorded a track in the studio, he would never play that song again?

Fela Kuti and Femi are both bad ass mother fuckers who dont take no shite from no one. Try Chicago Afrobeat Project (they are totally rad, but with more fuck/jam elements) if you like Fela. World Music Rocks!!!

Fela is rockin, so groovin it's unbelievable. The music feel so raw, happy, energetic, and funky. I like the whole afrobeat genre, I also like the women backup singers.
